Earlier today I was 50h in soft dry fasting. I took a shower and the tiniest amount of water got into my mouth; not even a proper drop just wetness that was on my lips slipped into my mouth and for around 3 hours I had my stomach activated. It's been rumbling and I even feel gassy.
I've got to make sure that not even the smallest amount of water goes into my mouth. In his book, [August Dunning](https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=dp_byline_sr_book_1?ie=UTF8&field-author=August+Dunning&text=August+Dunning&sort=relevancerank&search-alias=books-uk) about dry fasting said that even a drop of water is breaking the abstinence.
Now I know.
Answer
My longest soft, dry fasts ended at around 50h. Once I had that first drop, every cell seemed to awaken. And once I started drinking, I couldn’t stop.
It would make sense that one drop might start the process. I’m thinking of survival scenes where a few drops of water are so precious to the receiver. They’re like ambrosia because they give the body and mind that hope and push to keep living. Your body was expecting more. That you pushed past that is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
