| | Water Fasting

28yr male currently 250.

Down 30 lbs from OMAD in about a 3 month window. I havent been working out much and was wondering about what yall do before working out. Do you eat before? OMAD has been easy and working so im afraid of changing anything but my progress has slowed so I want to add working out? What do yall think? Im a fairly active person and my job is somewhat physical. Trying to add mountain biking and rock climbing back into me weekly activities.

Answer

Not that my experience is perfect or ideal for you.

I’ve been running about 5 days a week while fasting. I feel best running before the end of my fast. This helps me get an extra hour or 90 minutes of fasting without any hunger distractions. Never a problem with energy. On the contrary because my stomach is empty, I don’t have any bloating feeling or bulky feeling.

Answer

OMAD provides weight loss in the beginning. The body quickly adapts to your eating window. Then OMAD becomes a maintenance plan.

I’d change up your window. Move it’s time each day, or alternate between OMAD and a longer window.

Or, honestly, if encourage you to try ADF, alternate day fasting. The windows are 36:12 up to 42:6. The key is to make sure you’re only eating 2-3 healthy meals during those eating windows. No snacks.
