**Background**: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Dryfasting/comments/umhd37/dry\_fasting\_doesnt\_improve\_eczema\_psoriasis\_food/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/Dryfasting/comments/umhd37/dry_fasting_doesnt_improve_eczema_psoriasis_food/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)I really love dry fasting and it does wonders for my health issues on all levels. After improving my health further and further the last couple of month, I just waited for the right time (the right weather and free time) to do a 7 day dry fast.
**First the summary**: I´m sitting here, just a few hours shy from breaking my first 7 day dry fast. In a nutshell I can say it was a lovely, pleasurable und life changing experience for me, which I plan to repeat in 2 - 3 months again.
**Some information to every fasting day:**
* **Day 1:** Nothing special, maybe some kind of pressure in my thyroid region. Felt really naseaus in the evening (24 hours in), because a friend of mine butchered an old goat and gave me the meat for my dog und I had to cut it down for my dog to freeze it. :/
* **Day 2:** 8 times out of 10 the second day always sucks for me. Because the body sits of the knife´s edge and can´t decide which energy source it should use (food coming from the outside oder internal). I almost feel always really thirsty and unwell, this time too.
* **Day 3:** Seems like my body has semy adapted und I felt pretty good at this time. Slept 9 hours from Day 3 to Day 4 which left my quite refreshed in the morning.
* **Day 4:** Felt wonderful, I could breathe pretty deep at this point in time. On this day it rained quite a lot so I´ve done a wonderful hike through the woods and was sitting outside of my balkony quite often and breathed in deep this wonderful moist air, which left my in an really enjoyable tranquil state. On this day the internal heat started to rise.
* **Day 5:** At day 5 my body seems to have adapted pretty good. I was feeling well hydrated, had good energy, good clarity of thought, zero hunger. But right in the evening, I felt very nauseous und it felt some bowel pressure building up but had gone right to sleep.
* **Day 6:** Had a beautiful night sleep. Woke up and had a really weird poop (defenitely some mucus (candida?) like strings). But after that i felt invigorated, alive, like my old self, high level of self confidence, clarity. Kinda hard to describe.
* **Day 7:** From day 6 to day 7 was the only night i couldn´t sleep quite well. A pretty big rise in internal heat und beeing just winded up with a lot of monkey mind chatter in the background of my mind. Had a massive orange oily poop in the morning. On both days (6 and 7) I was walking through the cold woods in the morning with just an T-shirt on and I really enjoyed it. Man I felt so manly, saw some constructions worker on both mornings, they couldn´t have believed their eyes haha.
**What really helped me?**
1. Going outside in the morning and evening and breathing all that moist fresh air. Man it really felt as if I had a good glas of water. So Wonderful. Which lead to my second point.
2. Walking over one hour a day trough the woods with my doggie. Helped tremendous. Keeps the lymphatic system going and blood flowing.
3. A Nap at noon. Every day. No matter what! :)
4. 1 Hour of breathwork. For me: Soothing tai chi with gentle movement. Breathing in deep all that good chi. ;)
5. Cold showers!!!! If I felt weak or unwell, I showered ice cold. For me thath helped the most.
6. Putting your feet on the grass / Walking on grass.
**What I will do different for the next time?**
Buying / Preparing the things to break the fast in advance.
Was water / coconut water shooping these last few days and I became pretty obsesed with water and bought like 10 different spring waters and since then I couldn´t think of something others then drinking these heavenly bottles of water. Which is kinda annoying.
A beef bone broth pot is boiling in my apartments kitchen since yesterday and the smell (which is pretty heightend since day 5) pisses my really off. Will prepare it in the future before I start my fast and freeze it.
**How will I break the fast?**
* 1 glas of water for one hour
* Again 1 glas of water for one hour
* 2 glasses of water with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda for one hour
* 1 glass of coconut water for one hour
* After that more glasses of water followed by bone broth and some more coconut water for 2 - 3 days
**Overall:** Had pretty good sleep (at least 7 hours a day exprect day 6-7), had good energy and had a bowel movement everyday.
**To my healing:** My psoriasis and eczema cleared up almost 100% and that´s all I can say at that moment. I´m quite excited what will happen in a few days or weeks, because most of the benefits seems to appear after the fast.
Hope you enjoyed this post and I wish the community all the best. :)

Wow I’m very happy to read this gives me lots of hope! I’m on day 2 of my 10 day dry fast and am doing for health reasons. I also have eczema I’m hoping this will help it or even get rid of it completely. What will your diet be after completing? I plan for mine after I finish my fast to go on a fruit and vegetable diet only and see how my body reacts. Before this my diet was only processed food for many years everyday candy, chips and processed meats and they wreck havoc on my health.

Very good post and I totally relate , especially with the miracle of cold water , the day 2 sucking hard, and day 4 being the start of a serious rise of internal heat which makes us highly resistant to cold and craving cold water exposure. Ditto too with breath work and spending as much time as possible outdoors. However although a rainy day feels good, on day 4 I had one of the best days of my life and it was a very sunny, and reasonably warm (29-31 degrees C) day. I went hiking alongside a very cold water stream surrounded by trees. So I could walk in the shade , immerse myself in the cold water while having sun rays shine over me through the trees, then sit on a rock under the sun to warm up and do some wim hof breathing , then immerse myself in the cold water again and repeat. It was absolutely heavenly. Very similar to that post which fully resonates with me https://www.reddit.com/r/Dryfasting/comments/m64kri/best_feeling_of_my_life_cold_water_immersion_with/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

OP, don’t listen to this jerk. Congratulations on your dry fast and well done! Apparently some people think that criticizing and negating someone’s amazing healing experience with a holier than thou attitude is better than encouraging them. That person has a lot to learn about dry fasting but you are already there and don’t need to pay them attention :)
