A few days of bad eating isn’t going to matter long term. So if it’s worth it to you to comfort (and feed) your friend, then don’t worry about it.
I’d say right now your fiend (and his dad) are more important than your eating schedule.
You can always go right back to it when things settle down.
Bad weeks will happen, and you don’t gain weight from 1 week. What shows on scales is added water and added foods inside digestive tract.
I had 3 bad weeks since early May, and consider that a very good run. (Knock on wood.)
