Collagen is a scam, it does not better than any other protein, your body break it down to amino acids and use as it please. Having collagen doesn’t mean you are having more collagen in the body. It’s just a source of protein as any other.
I wouldn’t add collagen during a fast I always end my fasts with bone broth. It is high in collagen , fat, and minerals. But, during a fast I feel like it would be detrimental because fasting is about putting your body in repair mode instead of growth mode ( at least somewhat).
Hi there. Congratulations on your progress. I am also in my forties and take collagen for my skin and joints. However I notice such a good difference to my skin after a 72hr fast that I save the collagen for my refeed.
