My fasts more like 18-20 hours a day vs. 16-17 and it was very challenging. I clean fast so I’ve never had flavored stuff in my fast BTW. For context I am a 36yo female, 5’3, 125-130lbs. Now I’m struggling just to keep with 16:8 and am wondering if the caffeine in the black coffee I drink is actually hindering me. I am at the point where it feels like it’s not affecting me anymore and I need more of it…has anyone here tried not drinking caffeine while fasting? What was your experience? Did it make

I don’t think it made fasting easier, but it made my sleep better and it’s just another thing I don’t need in my life.
Like almost all addictive drugs, if you use it regularly, it just returns you to baseline, ie where you should be without it. If you quit, once you’re over the withdrawals, you’ll have that level of energy all of the time.
