Anything other than water?

I’ve recently been exploring the world of fasting purely for autophagy and all that good stuff rather than weight loss. I find it pretty easy however I have only done 40 hours at most. I’m wondering what drinks can make it easier when those craving hit like is regular unflavoured carbonated water okay, it fills me up in a way? Then there is tea. I know some herbal teas that contain fruits are probably a no go. What would be acceptable if anything other than water that I can still get maximum autophagy benefits?

Answer

if I’m not strictly water fasting, I like black coffee, green tea (or other herbal teas, my preferred is mint tea), lemon water, and my favorite: LMNT salts/electrolytes. Since the LMNT does have artificial sweetener (Stevia I believe) you may want to avoid it but I think salt water of some kind, made at home with a high quality salt, would be helpful to extend the fasting time. Oh yeah and I’ve definitely relied on plain, unflavored carbonated water during water fasts and they’re helpful as well.
