We all have our reasons that we like IF and decide to stick with it. What are yours?
I like the flexibility of IF. I try and stick to 18:6, but I’m not rigid about it. IF gives me the flexibility of taking off weekends so I can have fun family breakfasts with my kids.
IF gives me a clear end time to cut off snacks and alcohol, so I’m sleeping better.
I also have a hard time making room for exercise; IF is helping me slowly lose weight without putting additional time burdens on my schedule.

About 10 years ago, in my early 20s, I was struggling with a restrictive eating disorder and obsessively counted calories and weighed myself. I recovered by focusing on becoming healthy without tracking or weighing, and never wish to do either of those things regularly again. Im in my early 30s now and am a little overweight according to my bmi. It’s wonderful to have found this as a way to manage weight without calorie tracking or full restriction. I can just focus on eating healthy foods intuitively during my 8 hour eating window. 🙂
