Noon to 8pm or so for an eating window works well for most people. If eating earlier is better for your life, then eating from 7am to 3pm is good.
And you can have different schedules, too. Life if your weekends are hard to schedule, you can take them off. Or if you’re working different shifts, you can have a different eating window depending on when you’re working.
You can make it work for you, your schedule, and your lifestyle.
If you’re fasting for weight loss, remember that the three important keys are your diet (calories), getting good sleep, and stress management.
Start off on easy mode, 8 am to 8 pm, a 12:12 fast
4 meals, 8 am, 12 pm, 4 pm, 8pm
To get you used to a 4 hour fast between meals with no snacks between
Once thats comfortable, knock out one meal, then another, then another, until you get adapted to this on/off eating/not eating thing
Until one day you can be comfortable on one meal a day.
And theres no reason to rush it either, your body will take months to adapt to a state of not being fed constantly, there’s really no way to rush adaptation, so might as well take the slow leisurely walk to omad town as you slowly build the mitochondrial machinery to cope with fasting.
And get friends with salt as you’re starting out.
I have fasting minimum of 16 hours often eat between 11-16-ish, but i move it around. If i have a social thing one night i have my eating window late and then just start my fast when I’m done. I use an app to keep track. Having a set schedule haven’t worked for me, it actually made it harder for me to stick to fasting 🤷
