I work in a field that requires a lot of sustained concentration, creativity, and attention to detail, among other things. Fasting gives me the mental clarity and patience I need to finish my work quickly while still maintaining a high standard of quality. I primarily get paid piecemeal, so it has had a beneficial effect on my finances, on top of me being less stressed about my work. My sleep is miles better. It’s hard at the start, but honestly, I sleep better on an empty stomach than a full stomach now, and I also don’t feel groggy in the morning
Chronically ill here. I’ve been doing 24s for years but only recently took on longer durations (past year)
I can only say from feeling but my body and mind definitely took a turn after doing a few 48s. I was able to physically do more this summer than in a long time. Mentally my s/o says the slowness in my conversations is starting to speed up. There’s also some muscle building benefits if you do it right, too
But the biggest reason I continue to fast? Because eating (digestion) is a huge trigger for my symptoms. The peace and quality of life of having even energy all day is such a blessing!
I did it for a few months, I would fast for 48 to 72h then eat something, and do it all over again. I was very big and had lots of confidence issues. I lost all my weight and feel better and prettier about myself that I ever felt.
For me the benefits were mental, but I am sure that it also helped physically.
