Hey Redditors!
Has anyone had any issues with gallbladder/liver flare-ups while on or directly following DF's? And if so, what did u do to mitigate symptoms? Did you just ride it out until you couldn't deal with it? Or is there a point where your body kicks in and "takes care" of the flare-up?
I'm currently nursing an inflamed (what I take it as) gallbladder following an extended DF (8 days) that wasn't broken slowly enough. For my gallbladder attack, I did a Liver Flush based on a hybrid Hulda Clarke/Andreas Moritz protocol, and it relieved some of the pressure across my solar plexus, which is where I feel the most discomfort, spreading across my right frontish quadrant, but centralized still in the solar plexus area, which affects my breathing.
What I've found that helped is ACV mixed into freshly-juiced apple juice with turmeric and cayenne pepper mixed in, followed by a banana-based smoothie. I started both two days ago. It kind of gets worse (uncomfortable) then it eases on out.
About a week ago, I also had some edema on my feet and calves that left with elevation, but moved up to my thighs and lower mid-section. This reduced dramatically when I started the banana smoothie and ACV. Today, I had some sushi for lunch, as I've heard that fish can help with moving bile. I don't eat shellfish, so I had red snapper tempura, chicken tempura, and salmon something or other...pain in the normally affected areas have faded to almost non-existent.
I read in quite a few places that beer--which I love--in moderation, can also encourage bile flow. So I'm going to have the two (possibly just one) recommended beers and I'll report back. That is, if I haven't passed out...in my Hanes Cool Comforts...on my couch...because I haven't been drinking...and I've probably become a lightweight...but u won't know unless I tell u...so I don't know why I just said that...when I could just delete that part of the post...🤦🏾♂️
Till then, stay safe, family, and stay sane!

My best guess would be fatty foods with long retention time, i.e. basically anything that is naturally fatty and not added fats. Bile needs fat to be used otherwise it has to constantly be taken back up by the gallbladder and liver.

I never had what you mentioned but I think I would take magnesium (could be involved in the sensibility of the vasopressin receptor which seems to be involved with bile flow, at least in mice) and cholesterol rich foods.

Scientific research indicates that turmeric may offer several health benefits. In particular, turmeric contains a compound called curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory properties that may benefit people.
You may consider taking turmeric supplements to yield more of curcumin’s health benefits.
