plain yogurt, greek, skyr, whatever no sugar added rocks. don’t feel like you need to cut it out of your diet if you enjoy eating it. Lots of protein.
personally I could never find granola with an acceptable amount of sugar n just started using steel cut oats + whatever nuts i have on hand
You could try making your own granola if you find it hard to purchase one with low sugar. Its actually relatively easy to make and you can do it in large batches. I usually do one large batch a month and store it in an air tight container!
Overnight oats are a my go-to breakfast.
1/2 cup of organic oats
Tablespoon of Greek yogurt
Tablespoon of dried blueberries (no sugar added)
1/3 cup of almond milk (I use Malk or Three Trees. Both have no gums or added sugars).
Mix everything together and refrigerate overnight.
It’s probably 250-300 calories that keeps me full till lunch. Complex carbs, fiber, natural sugars, and probiotics.
I recently started using ratio granola and it’s pretty tasty. It’s designed for keto I think so it has some “sugar alcohols” but they are minimal. I like using some of that with blueberries or strawberries.
Also, you can substitute some of the granola with oats, at least that’s what I did…first it was one spoon and I gradually substituted most of the granola, now I just sprinkle it on top so it adds some crunch. I use skyr and low fat yogurt and I also add some banana and berries. Oh and the plus side is that you will be full for much longer, I basically can’t eat anything else for breakfast because I get hungry waay quicker.
