Breaking a fast with a “dirty reefed” not worth it IMO

After my first 5-day, I broke my fast with pizza. Yes, I felt satisfied/euphoric after finally giving myself calories, but after only two bites I was thinking to myself.. seriously that's it?? The actual taste of the pizza was not even close to the amazing expectation that I had built up in my mind. Now my second 5-day fast, I broke with a loaded up salad: dressing, protein, cheese, croutons, the works. I was still excited to break my fast, but when I actually ate the salad it tasted WAAAAY better than expected. I still got that satisfied/euphoric feeling but instead of feeling lethargic, I felt energized. I still occasionally do “dirty refeeds” if I’m out with friends or something, but overall I think healthier refeeds are just more satisfying.. anyone else experience this?

Do a healthy pizza next time, like a plant based low carb pizza.

Cauliflower crust pizza with pesto and veggies.

It’ll help with the craving and you’ll feel good too.

I also broke fasts with a dirty refeed and even though I enjoyed the taste, my body really went into protest mode. Belly aches, feeling more tired etc. Definitely not worth it. I often feel I like the idea of “bad food” more than the actual food. Nothing beats a really nice healthy meal.
