Brekkie anxiety

Y’all…… I need to ask. I have been intermittently intermittent fastin for about 2 years now, it helps my body reset and feel balanced. But still after two years, the “skipping breakfast” is still the most difficult part of my day. Most days (especially when I need to get up early or drive somewhere) I experience a kind of anxiety crushes me, sometimes I feel so sad I might cry, and irritable (but simultaneously kind of proud of sticking to a plan I know works). Does anyone else feel this over skipping brekkie? What do y’all do to deal / should I keep it up if it makes me feel like this? Hugs xxxx

Answer

So the best advice I’ve read recently regarding diet/fitness is make your plan fit your life style, don’t try to force your life style into some preconceived best case scenario. If skipping breakfast cause you this much anxiety, switch it up to skipping dinner instead. You’re going to be happier and more likely to succeed and reach your goals if the plan your implementing is as effortless as possible. Difference between going uphill and going downhill, one way is a lot of work, the other can actually be a lot of fun.

Do you actually have anxious symptoms? Or are you just upset that you can’t eat breakfast? I sometimes feel anxiety during fasting, and I find putting some salt on my tongue, about 1/8 tsp. and drinking water helps.

Listen to your body Julie! It’s the best advice I was ever given. Your body enjoys breakfast and it’s telling you it through emotional and physical signs. For me its dinner. I need to eat around 6/7pm or else I will go crazy anxious and become super stressed. For you its the morning, so eat! Don’t worry about what other people do. Make it work for you xxx
