Can more shorter term fasts add up to same benefits as one/few longer term fast...?

Hello (talking water fasting here) Usually the longer the fast the better - meaning more "healing" (or simply GOOD) effects on your body. 5day, 7day, 9day or even more fasts (if done right) are better/healthier for your body than "simple" 3 day fast. I think everybody agrees with this, correct? My question is, can you achiave the same results you would with lets say one 9 day fast with multiple 3 day fasts...? Im not expecting three 3day fastas to add up to the same benefits as a simple 9 day fast... But lets say i do six 3 day fasts in a span of couple of months... Could these add up to the same benefit as a simple 9 day fasts...? Does fasting work like that...? From what i know and believe - i do NOT (!) think so, but there is still a chance... so i wanted to ask... Do fasts "add up" benefits like that? EDIT: Im talking here about HEALTH benefits of fasting (whatever they are), im NOT talking about WEIGHT LOSS benefits (dont care about those)

Answer

I don’t think there’s enough research to compare yet, for me it’s what’s sustainable. I think I could probably manage three day fasts quarterly. Much more than a 12!day fast annually. And not just the rafting part: it’s work event travel family etc. I also think that the longer the fast the more you have to watch possible health issues. That being said I’m curious about those who feel amazing after day 5 etc. I’ve never gotten there. I also though have 10 lbs tops to lose and no muscle to risk—for someone with a lot of weight to lose it might be easier to fast longer less often.
