Choline is the precursor to acetylcholine. What is the precursor to acetylcholinesterase

Answer

Acetylcholine is a small molecule. Acetylcholinesterase is a protein (an enzyme). ACHE doesn’t have a “precursor” the way small molecules do. ACHE is synthesized on the ribosome from RNA and amino acids.
