Brand new to IF, planning on trying 16:8. I make coffee with a Nespresso at home, and I believe the pods are about 2-5 calories (I don’t add any milk or sugar).
Can I not have coffee from a Nespresso during the morning while I fast? I understand obviously the point is to not consume calories then but I’m not sure if that few calories will truly mess up a fast if I’m not planning to eat until noon?
Thanks for any help and advice!
Answer
Coffee burns more calories than you consume and doesn’t trigger an insulin response as long as it’s black.
You can drink it, but you might actually notice worse stress and won’t receive proper REM sleep. I doubt that many people care about that though, you’re free to drink it.
