I would stop IF when you’re sick and just focus on getting better. Eat if and when you’re hungry, and don’t try to squeeze all your meals into your eating window. Listen to your body. I haven’t had COVID yet but the people I know who got it were pretty sick and weren’t worried about their diet.
I said this in another post but they did a study to see how viruses vs bacteria did while fasting using mice. The results showed that viruses go away faster when given a steady stream of nutrients and IF helped with bacterial infections. I was sick about a month ago and as soon as I eased up on the IF, I started to get better. All I did was eat very nutritious food for breakfast lunch dinner but no sugar and no snacks. It was very easy to start IF again once I felt good.
i don’t feel like fasting would be beneficial at all. just a detriment. if you’re thinking autophagy could kill the virus off, you’d have to be dry fasted - can’t do that with an active virus. insulin levels don’t impact healing. covid is pure hell. lock your family up for a week and eat and drink all you want to.
Had covid In January and was Hospitalized I am 65. Was told I needed Intubation soon if symptoms did not improve. I was also told since my lung was damaged, I could be put on a lung transplant list. I snuck Ivermectin, Prednisone and hydroxychloroquine into the hospital. Was taken out of Intensive care and discharged from hospital a week later. Started taking Zinc, vit C, etc . Find FLCCC alliance and take meds they suggest. Most are from Costco. Also, google Doris Loh and follow her peer reviewed advice. She just recently had several papers published in medical journals. Since January Im back on IF, Ive hiked 350 miles, biked over 700 miles. My pulmonologist said my lungs have completely healed. My primary care DR reviewed all my records and says my recovery is a miracle. I feel great. I am not vaccinated.
