This is my second week doing 20:4 fast. I lost 2kgs in the first week. This week all i have been seeing is weight fluctuations. I don’t understand it because i have kept everything the same. The eating window , calories everything. I am getting stressed and discouraged that even IF might not work for me If someone has any advice, i would love to hear it.

No real food restrictions but I have cut back most sugar and I am counting calories as well. (Usually around 1.600 a day)

Trying to lose weight. I don’t have a specific goal weight yet. Right now it’s to get to 300 then going to likely pick another goal.

I’m in my second week of this schedule and it’s going well. Down four pounds in the first week one. I don’t find the fasting period difficult, as long as I’m busy! I’ve always known I was a boredom eater but it really has been obvious since starting IM. I am diabetic and in addition to weight loss, my goal is to get my blood sugars down. My numbers tend to be higher in the morning than the evening so I thought shifting my eating hours to earlier in the day (like eating from 9am to 5pm vs. eating from 1pm to 9pm) would see a dip in my morning numbers but I’m not seeing much of a difference in the morning reading.

Answer

Day6 of Week25, IF, 18/6

SW: 104kg/229lbs; CW: 88kg/194lbs; GW: 85kg/187lbs

Today is 85,9kg empty weight, down from 87,1kg of yesterday.

That is again 1.2kg drop overnight, right on the tail of the 1.1kg drop previous night.

I was trying to limit carbs today, so I had only 2 fake pizzas today (pizza topping on toasted tortilla instead of pizza dough) in my 2MAD reentry, and a banana and an oat bar for fibers.

I’ll see how much water weight that’ll bring to me by tomorrow, but I’d estimate about 0,8-1,2kg uptick due to slow digestion plus water weight.

Trying to expand my skills by learning new stuff today so my mind is kept busy but doesn’t allow for much movement. I’ll try to make up for that by doing a longer workout tomorrow.

Enjoy your weekend good folk of IF ;)
