Went out to eat this weekend and enjoyed a nice sit down meal! Instead of French fries I substituted broccoli though and I find myself not even missing fries anymore. I’ll of course have them once in a blue moon but honestly like the fresh feeling of the veg better. The fries were 450 calories that just don’t feel worth it to me.

I got a tasty frozen strawberry and lemon margarita as well, felt like a nice treat.

My weight fluctuated up about a pound or so, but that is expected when eating a more sodium filled meal like I had of restaurant food, so I’m not worried at all.

Hope everyone has a good week, and remember to delay, not deny any cravings you may have. :)

I knew losing 6lb in 1 week was too much! Frustrating to see a stall in my weight loss but I’ve kept to my fasts and my calorie goals all weekend so i know I’m going to lose. I’m just coming up for 18 hours into what I’ve planned to be a 42/46 hour fast. Feeling really great and have no felt hungry at all yet. Just took my first load of electrolytes, which I’ve never done this early into a fast but hoping it’ll help keep me going when I get home from work. Keeping busy at work is helping, just hoping I can stay strong tonight but I have some nice chai tea bags to enjoy!

Second day on IF was yesterday. Trying to 16/8 method.

I’m down a bit more ( great! ) and that’s even with going out to eat with my mother for lunch to eat hand pulled Chinese noodles. I did start out with one of their side salads with carrot and ginger dressing and had a side of green beans. I was able to take home a good portion of the noodles for lunch today. I THINK I would have normally wanted to eat all of my noodles despite the salad so it’s a win for me becase I’m not sacraficing the noodles but instead it was I actually felt satisfied.

I’m still trying to understand HOW IF is supposed to work, I’m reading and there is conflicting information out there vs what is said here .

I’m kind of tracking calories on MFP and I’m trying to exercise some.

18 hours into a 26 hour fast, water and black coffee only. SW 165, CW 154, GW 125 (11 pounds lost, 29 pounds to go, just under 8 weeks of IF).

Finally feeling ready to start incorporating more movement into my regular routine. I spent 30 minutes working from my treadmill desk on Friday and will try and average 30 minutes/day Monday - Friday from here on out. I also took a pilates class on Saturday morning, and bought a pack of 10 more classes so that will be my new Saturday morning routine.

Can’t wait to see how adding more movement to my OMAD schedule helps me reach my goals! Happy Monday everyone.

Male, 5’11”, 45 years old, SW 304, CW 297.4, TW 210-225 (Doctor will tell me when to stop)

Type: 16:8

Context: Eating window 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM

Length: Undetermined. One week in

Why: Weight loss and health recovery

Notes: One week in and the weight loss has slowed. I probably should start weighing myself weekly rather than daily. Daylight savings fouled me up, but only because I did an 8.5 hour window yesterday, which is probably not a huge deal.

I’m finding that a lot of this is mental. After a long day of work and after the kids have fallen asleep I find myself wanting to snack. I have to tell myself “no, you aren’t hungry, this is a habit.” So far it is working. I’ve also managed to keep up my exercise program so hopefully I’m retaining muscle and losing mostly fat.

I usually do 16:8 but I just hit 20 hours because I slept in then wanted to get on the elliptical and shower before breaking fast, which I’ll do with a macro bar after I write this. As I’ve said in previous posts a few weeks ago, my weight seemed to have stalled a bit, but now after tweaking my macros and reducing calories by \~100/day, it is coming off nicely again. I’m now down 25.1 pounds since Jan 7. I’m hoping to get back to a comfortable weight by mid-May because that is when I’m taking a trip to the city I lived in previously to see some old friends.
