Am off fasting for a bit, due to new medication I need to take few a week or so. It has to be taken with food, so as to get proper effect of it.
So I have been snacking on somewhat healthy small portions.
This is Week 1 for me; I started intermittent fasting on Tuesday. I’ve skipped meals before, but never in an organized method. I’m doing 18:6 during the week but dropping it to 14:10 on the weekends to account for my social life. I’ll likely revisit that as I progress. I’m sticking to just 2 meals at the start and end of my feeding window with no snacking in between. I also want to eliminate soda from my diet completely; I did have soda with lunch on Wednesday because I was feeling some withdrawal symptoms. I haven’t completely cut out fast food but that’s certainly something I want to improve on (and likely will need to if I want to sustain my plan).
Starting weight: 251 lbs
Couldn’t do a day after months of false starts, so started with 12 hours (it was actually hard) then added 1 hour each day. Mostly healthy food choices, avoiding empty carbs.
Currently at two weeks and do 20 hour fast each day. Quite easy at this point. Have been doing nightly core reps just to start exercise and make it a habit (takes 5 minutes, but haven’t missed a day).
Scale has barely moved, but I feel changes and that’s keeping me going. I even have a little muscle line starting at my rib cage! Small victories.
Day 4 adf, \~21hrs into the fast, feeling completely fine but I’m currently debating if I should go buy a coke zero to hopefully trigger some bowel movement lmao. I usually poop shortly after eating but that didnt happen yesterday so I feel a bit worried about that.
