hello dears!
19:5, for weight loss, 4.5 months in. closing in on 5 months of fasting! i’m sitting pretty at 219.4, which is up from my last weigh in, but that was a huge drop from being sick, so i’m not pressed. i’ve no handle on how quick or slow i’m losing weight, but almost 30lbs in 4.5 months doesn’t feel bad! i still haven’t lost any inches, not even after the covid drop in lbs, but my rings feel looser, so that’s something! i wonder if i can hit 200lbs without losing a single inch… that’d just be funny!
i’ve switched from 20:4 to 19:5 recently, because i found myself at the end of several eating periods with tea left in my cup, and quite sad about it. then i’d either extend my eating period anyways, or throw out perfectly good tea… i drink notoriously slow (and notoriously little), so i figured switching officially to 19:5 would be better than just extending my 20:4s constantly, lol. i’m still doing OMAD+, just with more time to finish my damn drink!
my family and i have been meal planning for the last little while, and it’s super helpful! way less “well, i dunno, let’s just eat freezer pizza” days. highly recommend that! i fill out our little whiteboard every sunday evening.

Finally got a whoosh today after yesterday’s 24 hour fast. Not sure I can fit in another one this week as I have a blood donation appointment Thursday afternoon and my mom is coming Friday morning to visit for the weekend (first tike staying over since 2016) and will likely want to go to all the restaurants and have me cook all the food. (She’s very low income and when she is around me, she tends to want to be spoiled and I oblige).
How do you all balance fasting and blood donating?
