Type: Water, coffee, tea, C4 canned drinks
Context: 20:4, but OMAD for these last five days and goin’ hard!
Why?: To control my wild eating habits and my weight fluctuation
Notes: Another weekend draws to a close..! Weekends off from work are by far the hardest and I’ve been trying to distract myself. What’s worse is if you’re injured, like me and my stitched hand, activities are lacking and it sucks… but I’ll be happy to be starting week three tomorrow…! I feel great, have lessening hunger cravings every day (boredom is the biggest factor, if you’re like me and just love the taste of food to fill time) and my energy is super. The only carbs I’ve been having are brown rice and some veggies; protein being the highest macro has helped tons.
Water/seltzer and coffee/tea. I’ve been doing a lazy 16:8 since January but did 17:7 yesterday and half an hour away from finishing my first 18:6!
I’m trying to get back to my pre-pandemic weight range and get a little more tone in my stomach
It’s been really up and down! I wanted to try IF because attempts at counting calories made me seriously depressed. So far no significant loss that’s stayed off but I find it a lot more intuitive and it’s helped me curb some obvious bad habits (like snacking when bored and stuffing myself at meals) which feels good. I currently live in a pretty rural part of the northeastern US so exercise has some logistical boundaries at the moment. I try to do SOMETHING everyday, whether that’s a 20 minute yoga video, a walk, hour long yoga class, or a 15 min run if it’s not too cold and the ground isn’t covered in ice. Hoping that with seasonal change and moving to a place with sidewalks in the spring I can get more regular serious exercise and see more change. Comments here about being compassionate to your own needs and the difficulty of starting in the winter have kept me going when the scale hasn’t moved.
Water fast
16:8 from 8am to 4pm
Weight loss!!!!
The first couple of kgs was easy to lose but it took me one month to lose the next1&1/2 kg…but its progress and am happy for the progress. 6 & 1/2 kg to go!!
Type of fast: 36 hours, water and espresso, maybe some squeezed lemon in a glass of water to boost me.
Lots of work tomorrow, so not much time to think about food!
I usually do 20:4 or OMAD, but the weekend was a family type of holiday where I live and it messed up my eating schedule. I’m also keto.
Two hours in, many more to go!
