Answer

Hi I’m currently at 4th day of a fast, I plan to end it when 96hours are completed but I have to say I feel tired and lazy as hell.

Any tips? Caffeine doesn’t seem to help, I just feel like staying in bed all day

Answer

33F, 20:4 / 21:3 fasting here. Trying to get my wild eating habits under control and control my weight; first dipping into my GW and then maintaining. Another week of high energy and strict eating windows down..! Now, to survive the weekend..

Answer

20:4/OMAD. Starting today, although I was already close to 16:8 because I don’t eat breakfast. I’m fasting to lose weight and to improve triglycerides and HDL. I have a problem where thinking “I’m on a diet” makes me hungry, and it’s going to take a while to adapt to “this isn’t a diet, this is just how you eat.”

Answer

20:4, interspersed with 72 hour and 5 day water fasts, and strict calorie deficit, been going since 3rd of January.
I gotta say, I don’t feel majorly different for over 2 months in, wonder if anyone else is in the same boat?
We don’t own weighing scales at home (probably for the best, I struggle with disordered eating as it is, and I think I’d end up obsessing too much over the numbers) but I took some measurements since I had to get a suit for a friend’s wedding. Couple of inches seem to have vanished off my waist and chest, and some shirts fit a little better. Other than that, looking in the mirror I can’t see any change. Have had my parents and neighbours comment that I’ve lost weight, but it’s hard to believe when you don’t see it yourself.

I know it’s still a long road ahead but overall, I’m pretty pleased with myself for sticking to something this long, I’d never made even 2 weeks before with a nutrition change and this one has been pretty drastic.
