Water fastStart at 17:00 most days fasting at least 16 hours, sometimes 18 by circumstance. Day 16.

I am 6ft tall. SW 110KGCW 106.8KGTW 95KG

I have used IF before and like the control it gives me over my eating. I am running in the mornings 3 times a week at least and this is fasted. I play hockey for a team once a week and umpire some games. I do classes at my gym 2/3 times at week: Pilates, HIIT, RPM, Body Attack or Body Pump. I’d say my day is sedentary, sat down working for 8 hours, but I try to be active around that.

I am eating healthily. Small breakfast of cereal of 2 boiled eggs with a slice toast. Snack for lunch, like soup/sarnie and then a dinner with usually consists of meat, jacket potato and salad. Yogurt after and then I start my fast.

In the 16 days I have done, I have used 2 Frosties to have a beer with mates. One occasion was 4 pints of lager and the other 3 pints. So in the grand scheme of things 3KG is a good amount to lose.

Was happy with my progress, but my weight has crept up half a KG over the past 3/4 days. I know to not pay too much attention to the scales, but it does get disheartening. I can see the 3KG weight loss in the mirror and just want to continue on that path. Hoping it’ll go down again over the next few days. Fingers crossed!

On Day 5 of 17:7 fast, starting at 1:30pm and ending at 8:30pm each day. No breakfast. Drinking 72-96oz of water a day.

I’m 5’5”, female, SW 180lb CW180lb TW 150lb

I want to lose weight, have a healthier relationship with food so I’m not so dependent on cravings and unhealthy eating habits. I’m prediabetic, so I need to limit my carb/sugar intake, and I want to get to a place where I reverse my prediabetes, get more fit and active, and make longterm lifestyle changes.

So far, I’ve noticed the cravings have already become less intense. I’ve started weightlifting and am excited to see my progress continue with that.

I’m not seeing any change on the scale yet which is discouraging, but it’s only Day 5, so I’m trying to be patient. In the past, water weight has fallen off quickly when I cut carbs, so I guess I was expecting that to happen this time around. Trying to stay optimistic. But so far, no change.

18:6 fasting seems to work the best for me. I had foot surgery in November and can’t be as active as I normally am. Went from walking 15,000 to 20,000 steps a day, riding my peloton to nothing for the past 3 months. Gained about 6 lbs and not very happy with that. Hoping this will help!

If you have gastriis and/or Inflamatory Bowel Syndrome (IBS) fasting is not a good idea

Just going to say that you shouldn’t engage in this diets that are popular before going to an actual doctor that takes into consideration your own health.

Fasting is done o achieve authophagy and here is a complete misconception of what your body will do on this state because one of the things it will do is EAT ITSELF, that means your stomach and gut and if you have IBS/Gastritis you already have a compromised digestive system doing this diet is just asking for more trouble.

People will tell you that “nothing happened to them” etc. don’t trust them, those people probably don’t even have any of this chronic conditions and therefore don’t know what is to suffer them or are outright lying to you.

If you plan on fasting, depending on how bad your IBS/gasriis is you may be able to get a way with some days of intermitent fasting and maybe 1 of full fasting but trust me i will get bad at some point and it will eventually lash back on you and you don’t want that, if you are trying to approach this fasting diets as a mean to fix your IBS/Gasritis don’t, because that is not their purpose and you are better of finding your food triggers for said conditions than making things worse by fasting.

You need to undersand: this is a TREND and all this fasting diets are a business and they want to sell you this new miracle that will fix everything for you and it’s so good that it even cures cancer… please. You think all those “specialists” on youtube (LMAO) really do the videos out of heir kindness of heart? no, they do it because they get revenue of the new TREND and then they will fish some fools that actually buy their “programms” and “diets”.

Please don’t play with your health and don’t put your healh in the hands of “youtube experts”.
