Second day of 19:5 or 20:4, really just trying to eat only between 2:30p and 7:30p, bus sometimes stuff comes up and I can’t eat at exactly those times. Yesterday I ate from 3 to 630 (two salads with croutons & fat free French dressing and then 12 Chick Fil A nugs and half of a large fry.

I was so close to driving thru McDonald’s this morning as part of my morning routine, but I didn’t.

I’m here. One more day. Let’s do it.

OMAD, SW: 165 CW: 156 GW: 125. That’s 3.5 weeks in and I am down 9 pounds, I cannot believe it.

Currently I am 14 hours in to a 23 hour fast, eating OMAD is really easy for me now. Last night I completed my second ever 32 hour fast but the last couple of hours were really rough, I was ravenous by the time I ate.

I was really hoping to do my first 48 hour fast from last night until tomorrow night, but I don’t feel confident after struggling through a 32.

16:8 daily for me. It’s only been 3 days (I started when I stopped eating at 8pm on Saturday). I started with a noon - 8:00 PM eating window, but I’ve adjusted - more on that below.

I’m doing this to lose weight. I’ve lost 33 lbs. since going back to the office after lockdown ended simply by moving more during regular daily activity, and now it’s time to get my eating under control. I’m giving IF a try because the #1 reason I’m obese is the amount of food/drink I have between dinner and bedtime. I don’t eat large portions during meals and snacks during the day are minimal - a clementine or two, usually. After dinner, though, I lose control and I probably eat another 800 - 1k calories at least during that time. Hopefully putting a hard stop on all eating in the evening will stick.

One interesting observation over the last three days: I’ve found psychologically it’s better if my fast is 7:30 PM - 11:30 AM than 8:00 PM - noon. I’d like to push my eating window back to maybe even 9:00 PM - 1:00 PM to allow for meeting friends out once I’ve been doing it a while, but for now an earlier start/stop time is more manageable.

Trying to lose this Dad bod and at 51 its not easy

I have been doing this for 3 weeks now and I can say that I am really loving the mental stimulation. I am also running about 15 miles a week and lifting weights 30 minutes a day.
