Water fasting Started last night (Sunday at 7pm) ends Tuesday 7am36 hour fastWeight loss. Body reset.
It’s fine right now but I have ups and downs throughout the day. I just ordered some thing to put in my water for electrolytes.
I’m water fasting Monday to Friday. Length varies, but am going to try to do 2 OMADS and the rest 16/8s. I just opened my weight loss tracker and I’m 19 pounds heavier than I was 6 months ago so… Oops. Really struggling with my weight during the pandemic. I’m either losing or gaining, there is no maintenance happening.
Type of fast - Water/Tea
Context of fast - 20:4 Intermittent Fasting
Length of fast - 20 hours on, 4 hours off
Why - I desperately need to lose weight and nothing else is working anymore
How is it going so far? Any concerns? - I am hungry. There, I said it. Yesterday was day 1 and I wasn’t sure I’d make it, but I did. Today is going better but, just like yesterday, when there is around 4 hours left I start to get hungry and/or crave my normal habits. I just walked into my kitchen mindlessly and reached for a snack, and then realized I can’t. It’s actually kind of scary that it’s so normal for me to snack whenever I please, that I didn’t even realize what I was doing. Here’s to hoping I can make it again today :)
First week under my belt of 16:8! Over the weekend I realized just how often I wanted to boredom-snack. It was really eye opening. I’m so proud of myself for sticking with it. I’m working on getting my coffee down to black. This week I cut out the milk so just coffee and some sugar and I don’t mind it! Starting really slowly with exercise too - last week I walked for 2 minutes X3 days. This week I’m increasing to 3 minutes X3 days. I could handle much more but I’m trying to build the habit and make it stick!
I’ve started back on 16:8 after gaining weight during the holidays. My biggest challenges are reducing my sugar intake and staying motivated fitness-wise while my city has closed all it’s gyms due to Covid19. I used to take long walks in the morning, but after losing my initial weight last year, I can no longer bare the cold temperatures… I’ve been wearing 2-3 layers of clothing nowadays while I brave the winter.
Type: dirty fast
Context: 16:8
Length: I missed my Zero goal by 9 min but probably could have started my fast sooner 😋
Why: weightloss SW:230 CW:229.6 GW:150
Notes: day 4 of 16:8… went to my first movie in 2 years last night and got the xs popcorn, m&ms and a soda. I was kicking myself for not getting the diet but I was surprised when I logged my calories and I was still under my goal for the day! Also I was amazed that I made my xs popcorn last through the whole movie and had m&ms when I came home. It made me so full lol which is fascinating bc I used to be able to eat a xl bucket all by myself with candy and a large drink😩
Hi everyone!
I am kickstarting my first ever four day water fast tomorrow. The longest I have gone is two days. I might end it early though because I am going on two very long hikes this week that may require that I eat something or else I’ll faint.
Why: Weight loss. Also, I finished my responsibilities and just unloaded a year and a half burden. I want to reset.
Start time: 12PM, Tuesday
End time: 12PM, Saturday
96 hours! Yet, I can quit anytime on Saturday past 7AM and feel successful.
Will update as I go along.
