Started 18:6, did my first OMAD today. Started getting some brain fog at hr 22 at work, hopefully I will get used to it soon. It was a nice to have my lunch break free to go for a walk instead of eating since it’s getting to dark to go out after work now. It was also nice to not prep lunch and clean up the food containers when I got home. I feel like I didn’t eat that much during my meal even though I felt full, I’ll need to make sure to log what I eat the next few days so I get a good sense of what’s actually going in.

How much do people usually eat on OMAD?

Trying OMAD again today as I keep failing at like 18 hours. Without wishing to sound overly needy, I’d appreciate some encouragement! Currently 14 hours in… And hoping to break the fast around 6pm with a HUGE steak, avocado, peanut butter & apple!

Day4 of Week23, IF, 18/6

Today is 87,6kg up from the 85.9kg of yesterday, which is expected given that I was between two meals at the time of measurement and “prefeeding” for the 48h fast.

48h fast has just started, which puts my mind at ease regarding the menu planning.

It is a NSV that people I encounter, everywhere asking if I have lost weight, or if I could tell them how I lost it. Ranging from folk at HR, through the car mechanic, maintenance folk and even some of the family.

It usually making them gawk at me when in an attempt to condense the whole IF explanation into a single line I say “I just don’t eat at sometimes” or “I only eat if I am hungry”.

It seems to be inconceivable to them not to shovel in food all the time.They keep asking what pills I use or what special foods I eat and how much they cost.

There is a significant amount of disbelief when I tell folk that I don’t take any pills and my diet only had cut out added sugars and regular bread but everything else is fine in moderation.

I hope that when they hear of IF from me in detail, might set them on a more healthy path too, if for nothing else for a quality of life improvement.

I’ve reinstated daily 2 short workouts, one with and one without weights.

It makes me sore for now, but I feel better afterwards than without the workouts.

We’ve turned the corner! Weekend is on the horizon, so just hang in there and we’ll be there before you know it! ;)
