Hi! I (31F) am 29hrs into my first 72hr water fast.I started it because a wellness coach invited me to do it with their group, so I am surrounded by a small community along the way.
My typical fasting in the past were infrequently the 16:8, so this is a new challenge I wanted to put myself through to kick-off 2023.After a lot of reading about the 72hr water fast, I figured, why not?
I’m not at work this week and have access to nature close by, so my days are filled with dog walks, house cleaning, and sudoku. Thinking of food or seeing recipes on social media feeds make me groan with hunger, so I’d turn them off for a while!
I am enjoying the mental clarity and energy found after the 19-20hr mark. I introduced a teaspoon of MCT oil to some tea and found that to increase my alertness when I needed it.
Bring on the next 2 days!
