Day4 of Week21, IF, 18/6

SW: 104kg/229lbs; CW: 89kg/196lbs; GW: 85kg/187lbs

Today 88,6kg, up from the 88,2kg of yesterday, but this is measured in the middle of my eating window as I did “prefeeding” for the 48h fast so it is very fine.

Had to swap around things a bit in terms of meals before this 48h. Granny made apple pie which is an offer you can’t refuse!

Seriously! The diplomatic fallout from refusing cake or pie can last years xD

Pollen situation is bad as wind is picking up, increasing the amount of stuff one can breathe in, regardless if the concentration is lower than previously.

Way past the sneezing part and progressed into the near constant coughing or irritation which is screwing with the sleep still.

We’re turning the corner toward the weekend, folk! One day to go. You can do this!;)

Day 99

2MAD and OMAD with occasional longer fasts

42F/5’8”, SW: 195 lbs (88.5 kg), CW: 166.4 lbs (75.5 kg), GW: 145 lbs (65.8 kg)

School has been off-the-charts busy for me lately, spilling over into the weekends and some days it feels like I spend every waking moment on it, though of course that’s not true. Yesterday unexpectedly, my Cell Bio prof had to cancel lecture and lab due to a family emergency, so my day opened up. Rather than fill it with more studying, I took a much-needed break to tackle some yard work and then catch up with a friend over coffee. She had contacted me a few days ago about meeting up yesterday, but I had told her I couldn’t because of my class, but then that obstacle just vanished, which was nice. It’s easy to underestimate how beneficial it is just to go catch up with a friend one-on-one.

I also met up with another friend for yoga first thing in the morning. We are getting Wednesday morning yoga restarted after a summer hiatus.

Still 2MAD, as I’m in Week 4. Hoping to do some longer fasts soon. My body seems really “comfortable” in the mid-160’s, but I might have to nudge it out of its comfort zone to take off more weight.

Day 43 IF 12:8

SW 199lbs CW 184lbs GW 170lbs

I weigh in on Fridays and the 184 was last Friday. I’m hoping for a good drop tomorrow morning.

Overall, I feel a lot better about myself and look forward to the future.

I’m not currently working out at all. I’m trying IF because my wife and I have a newborn baby and a 22 month old at home and finding time for exercise is tough. Like I said, so far I’m really liking it and am amazed how easy it is to not eat until noon.

I try to eat a small lunch, tiny snack (only if I need it) and then a moderate dinner (not as big as I used to eat). When fasting, I only have water and black coffee.

Answer

Type of fast: water/black coffee
Context of fast: 9pm last night
Length of fast: at least 15hours
Why? Weight loss and break my addiction to eating/snacking

Have PT this morning which is basically a workout for me, so it is going to be really tempting to break my fast afterwards. Going to start drinking iced peppermint tea today.

Answer

I have been doing morning OMAD and fasting ~24 hours at a time (was aiming for a 48, but cut it short at 32 a few days ago.

Yesterday’s OMAD: Bunch of sweet Italian sausage, 6 eggs, spinach, a banana, glass of orange juice. 1935 calories. Up 1.8 lbs. Height 6’1. Weight: 242.8 yesterday, 244.0 today. Frustrating. Dying to get out of these damn 240s.

Rational thoughts: Probably sodium from all that sausage, like 3400mg total yesterday, compared to around 1000mg the previous day (mainly had beef, eggs, skim milk). Also, I did go for a long walk w/the dog at the park, and did some lifting with heavy dumbells. Nothing crazy, overhead presses, shrugs, and curls. Still frustrating though. This is the first month in a while I haven’t had multiple 3000+ cal cheat days, and stuck to fasting, and it’s slowed to a crawl.
