Decided to start Intermittent Fasting again last night after watching Brittany Runs a Marathon, which sparked me to weigh myself. This is the heaviest I have ever been! Was shocked.
Decided as a first step to fast (stop eating/drinking milky products etc.) at 9pm every night.
I read a post on here saying slowly slowly to get used to it so I will stop fasting maybe 10/11 in the morning, when I have breakfast.
Am looking at this as a lifestyle choice.
Happy Monday everyone, doing a 36 hour fast today. I started last night at 8pm and will finish the fast tomorrow at 8am (if I feel good I’ll finish later). So far I am nearly 16 hours in and feeling ok. Having just water, black coffee and tonight some mint tea to help me fall asleep.
Happy Monday! Currently 35 hours into what was planned to be a 16 hour water fast.
I’m curious at this point to see if I can make it to 48+ hours. I did a leg workout yesterday morning and plan to workout later today too (my workout shed was 35*F this morning and I wimped out on lifting at that temp). I might have to break after the workout depending on how I’m feeling.

Today is day three of my first go at IF.
16/8. 11am-7pm is my eating window
I am committed to 45 days of this. I have an adult snowboard gathering in the high sierras I am attending on March 9th. I want to make sure I can keep up and ride all day. Shedding some weight and keeping my energy up.
I haven’t worked out yet. This morning I am doing Yoga and will do a medium effort 30 minute ride on the Peleton. Last night I had one of the best nights of sleep of my life - no idea if the fasting is already helping in that area. I also skateboarded for about an hour yesterday in a bowl (pool) and that probably helped but I felt great.
Coffee is life. I usually do 2-3 americanos (espresso and water, no calories) per day.
I am not weighing myself. I might on or around my 47th birthday in May, but I am strictly noting progress on feel, clothes, pictures, energy. No measurements.
Glad I found this reddit this morning.
