Day 1 (eating day) of switching from 20/4 IF to ADF, 3K calories on eating days. Just changing it up after the holidays, looking to motivate myself again after maintaining for ~25 days after Christmas.

Answer

Water and black coffee only, fasting for fat loss but at this point it also makes me feel great.

Day 2 of OMAD, basically 23:1. Yesterday was my first time making it 23+ hours and I truly cannot believe I did it- and how good it felt!

Today will be another 23 hour fast which I will break with a nutritious homemade dinner.

I’ve been doing 18:6, sometimes 20:4, for the past few weeks, after I noticed I’d gained some weight. I think it was due to a medication I was on, since I normally can maintain my weight with little effort. I’ve only gained a few pounds, but I want to act now before “a few” becomes “a lot.” I’m a little nervous because today at work we’re having cake for someone’s birthday, in about 45 minutes. I usually partake, so I know people will be surprised when I decline. Since I’m already on the thinner side, I know if I mention IF, everyone will say, “You don’t need to lose weight!” and probably assume I have an eating disorder or something. Plus I have a few coworkers who are larger than me and I worry about them feeling insulted. So I think I’m going to make up an excuse like “I’m getting blood work done after work today so I have to fast now.”

Going to shorten up my eating window from 18/6 to hopefully 20/4 or even 22/2. I’ve been on Lupron the last 6 months for prostate cancer which has made me gain in the stomach and breasts and lose some strength. I’m nearing the end of my ADT so now is the best time to step it up and hopefully get back to where I was.
