Trying out 19:5. Basically not eating during the work day and then eating at home. Trying to work out at lunch, but afterwards I am completely exhausted for the next 5 hours until I can finally eat. This is so hard…how do you guys do this? This is my 4th day.
Newcomer here!
Type: OMAD (Vegetarian, low carb, 4-6PM eating schedule)
Starting weight 205 lbs (6’0” height)
For the first week, I lost about 5 lbs, but since then, I have basically plateaued (sitting at 199 for 5 days now). I’m literally eating 3 eggs, one avocado and 3 vegan sausage (about 8g carbs in total) as a meal. I don’t think the total calories is more than 800 for the day. I can’t really reduce the meal any further. How do I get over the hump?
Been at it a little over a week on a 16:8. Diet could be better but gotten used to this level of fasting. When is a good time to try a 24 hour fast? Keep at the 16:8 for a bit longer or jump in on a weekend? Got a 8 to 5 office job so may be too much to do when I have to work.
I’m two weeks in. I’ve started out at 244 lbs, 5’10” male 25. Now I’m 238 (im counting my after eating weight, not my after fast weight). First week I did 16:8, this week I’m doing 18:6. It honestly wasn’t that hard for me to start it and do it for some reason. Except for one night a few nights ago where I suddenly felt starving around bed time. My goal weight is about 178. I’m just getting used to the hours right now so I’m not pushing myself too much on watching the calories yet. I know for a fact I’m consuming less calories than I was before i started fasting though haha. I also haven’t really tried to stick onto a specific diet too. I’ve been eating stuff I would normally eat just during a certain period of time and also less I suppose. I have also been eating more salads too though, I guess. 😂 I took a before picture so when I get to 178 I’ll do before, after pictures.
Over a month into <4hr daily eating windows (today’s was 20 minutes), and this morning I looked and felt so much slimmer upon waking up. Had one of those lovely whooshes overnight, which was very motivating and reassuring.
