Type: 16:8 and 18:6 on alternate days, OMAD on the weekends
Context: Started November 1st, still going strong
Length: Until I reach 180lb, then reevaluate
Why: Weight loss! I weighed in at the most I’ve ever weighed in November - 240lb.
Notes: CW 205, nearly to onederland. Just wondering if the morning hunger pangs ever go away
Type: 10/14 food fast starts at 7pm end at 9am. Might start extending the fast end time. Not feeling too hungry by 9 am.
I started Feb 7 and still going! Started at 164lbs. CW 161. GW is 140lbs. I’ll probably keep going after I reach my GW. I just won’t count calories as hard.
So far so good. Lost 3 lbs in a week and I’m not as grumpy anymore.
Hi, I’m a 59yr female 5’6. I’ve been fasting for 2 months. I started at 16/8 now more comfortable with OMAD.My daughter introduced me to IF and encouraged me to try it. I read The obesity code and watch Dr. Fung on YouTube and really got motivated. I’d like to live a long pain-free life in my “real” body. After the first week I came off my daily asthma medication and haven’t used my emergency puffer. I’m off my cortisone nose spray I have been using for more than 30 years for sinus inflammation. I started at 210 lbs and in 2 months at 185. Dropped from XL to L. I notice most of my weight is coming off my belly and not my chest which is different from calorie restriction diets I have been on for the last 40 years literally. I know this is sustainable! It’s freedom! It works and its painless! So happy to have this forum of positive people working and living toward a better us! I finally love my mirror!
Hi folks! This is my second week of IF, and just wanted to update on my progress. So this is a water based fast I’m using to lose weight, and to ultimately improve my health and not be so darn hungry all the time.
So last week, I had lost 14.5 pounds, which dropped me from 534.6 to 520.1. This week went pretty great as well, as I dropped 11.5 pounds! I’m now at 508.6, which is crazy for such a short amount of time. I’m hopeful, but not sure if I’ll be sub 500 by next weigh-in, but to even be knocking on the door this early on is amazing!
I’m already finding certain things so much easier to do, like walking up stairs is a little less of chore than it was, which is a godsend being on the 3rd floor 😅. Thanks for reading, see you all next week! ❤
Type: 16:8
Context: Start fast at 8 p.m., end fast after noon the next day.
Length: 16 hours each day; I started the evening of Feb. 14 at 8 p.m.
Why: I’m hoping to burn bodyfat. I’m just barely obese, and I’m getting things together this year.
Notes: I hope this works. I’m not confident in the “eat normally” approach during my eating window, although I know the studies and the data and that supposedly it works. But I’m committed to make this a long-term lifestyle and see what happens.
16:8, starting fast at 8pm and ending at 12pm. started Feb. 13. This is my second time doing IF. First time showed amazing results, I only stopped when I got pregnant. I got to my heaviest weight ever after this last pregnancy at 205 lbs. I’m down to 190 after just cutting out some extra snacking and standing more during the day. I’m hoping to lose 30-40 lbs and just be all around healthier.
