Day1 of Week19, IF, 18/6
SW: 104kg/229lbs; CW: 89kg/196lbs; GW: 85kg/187lbs
Today is 89,1kg up from the 88,5kg of yesterday which is to be expected after regular pizza and green beans have been introduced into the meals I had in the last two days.
Cooked up a batch of low-carb pasta for today, but for some reason it had a stink of “not safe for human consumption” so I’ll dump the whole thing. Not risking a food poisoning again :P
Slept alright but not enough as breathing is still an issue with the pollen concentration going through the roof. I’m at the point where I can barely open my eye. And yet the show must go on.
We’ve got a steady rain now, so at least that’ll keep the air clean, but it would take about 2 days for me to recover, so no dice yet.
Today’s menu will be more carbs! xDNot like I’d enjoy the water retention and misleading scale values, but want to test out sugar free brand of “sweets” I have never encountered before, so I’d know if I should grab a bunch of them on discount before it ends.
Hope you fine folk made new plans for this week and will succcessfully tackle them with the brand spanking new opportunity of a new Monday! ;)
My internet is still out and probably will be all week, so it’ll be to the office for work.
On other news, I discovered a recipe for low carb pizza crust and its fantastic. I made a crust out of a 10oz can of chicken, 1 egg and 28g parmesan cheese. Mix it all up and then spread it thinly on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Into the oven at 475 for 10-15 minutes depending on how crispy you want it.
It’s 3 carbs! 45g of protein and about 270 calories for the crust, which helps because you don’t have to pile the toppings onto it to get your calories in if doing omad. And that’s if you use the 10oz size, you can use a smaller can for a smaller pizza and it be 90 calories and 1 carb, depending on the brand of chicken you get.
The pizza was fantastic, texture was great and it crisps up enough to hold toppings well. I put on chicken, spinach, cheese, and pepperoni. So, I got about 108g of protein and only 10 carbs overall for a quite filling pizza and it clocked in at about 770 calories, which allowed for a nice dessert/snack after. Absolutely thrilled with the results. I would post a photo but being on mobile makes that annoying to do, so I’ll have to wait for my month recap to do so.
Day 5 week 1, IF, 18/6, 31YO male.
Day1 Weight 112kg, height 192cm
I start my fast at 10PM and finish at 4PM. So far so good! I do feel hunger occasionally but nothing I can’t stand.
I’m trying to lose some weight and get back in shape, also working on my eating habits. I cut carbs to almost zero (trying to go keto-ish) and siginificantly reduced amounts of food I eat now.
All going good so far, I do have a question though - is it ok to mix my fasting times between eg 18/6 and 20/4? Also, starting the session at different times of a day? Or should I be more strict and always keep the window at the same time?

Good luck to everyone!
daaay 31! weighed today, am down to 236! yay! that’s 12lbs down.. we’ll see how i’m doin on wednesday, when i weigh next.
20:4, for weight loss, still truckin! literally the only food i’ve been craving is peanut butter.. i didn’t even eat that much PB before starting IF! i feel like i could eat my 1500cal-ish budget in PB right now..
happy monday! ♥
Day ? of Week 8
Today is a struggle day I think. I had a pretty bad weekend, and currently just don’t really know why I’m doing this. Yeah I’ve lost almost 32 pounds so far, and that’s great and I have noticed a difference (although nobody else has, or at least nobody has said anything about it), but even after that I’m still obese and still have months and months left until my supposed goal. I’m just feeling drained and without the comfort of food I’m clueless as to how to make myself feel any better.
Anywho, I hope everyone else has a good Monday.
Week 11, Day 1
SW: 213
Last weigh: 194.8
Next weigh: Sat morning
Goal: Stay under 200 into Sept and try on to 185!
Okay, here goes another week of ADF/OMAD. After a weekend seeing a gain and not the best food choices due to two social events, I’m readying up this morning I’m trying to figure out how to figure in the gym schedule this week. I’m thinking of just doing it on the Tues/Thurs when I eat because I get SO hungry during the fasting days after.
Know what’s got me bogged though? This Saturday, we fly south for a visit for family! Grandparents to be exact. Four days. No way I can get around my usual way of doing things, so I’m going to do my best to be calorie conscious on a 16:8.
It feels futile to strive for a loss Saturday but it’s not! It just shows that I can continue with fasting. This is my last dietary hurdle before getting into the fall season with a new job and set hours. I’m excited to have reliable times and days back in my life again.
Maybe I’ll just put all my energy into cleaning before we fly out. There’s nothing better than a totally clean home before a trip and coming home to totally nothing to do. :3 Walks, distraction, low carb.
Let’s get this Monday!
Day 82, or 11 weeks, 5 days
2MAD and OMAD with occasional longer fasts
42F/5’8”, SW: 195 lbs (88.5 kg), CW: 169.6 lbs (76.9 kg), GW: 145 lbs (65.8 kg)
After dipping down to an exciting new low of 166.6 lbs yesterday (75.6 kg), my weight bounced up to 169.9 lbs this morning. Just further proof that body weight is a fickle measurement. I didn’t really eat anything unusual yesterday, except for about 1-1/2 boudin balls with dinner. Maybe that, having an argument with my husband right at bedtime, and taking Mucinex DM to get to sleep, all conspired to bring up my water weight. I’m not gonna worry about it.
Keep calm and IF on, as the saying goes.
Despite last night’s revisit of the cough, my energy level is great this morning and I am going to do some cardio and light resistance training once the kids are off to school.
NSV: Now that I’m back in school, I am wearing some clothes that I hadn’t had occasion to wear over the summer. The jeans fit like a dream. Blouses are roomier and more flattering. Can’t wait to wear boots when we get actual fall weather (2-3 months away, probably.) I can actually zip the regular zipper on my boots all the way, and don’t need the “helper” zipper anymore!
Gotta love being able to shop your closet! 🛍👢👖👗
I’d like to get back to an OMAD day soon. Whether or not today us the day remains to be seen. I’ll be on campus at noon, so that might be a great time to fast.
Hope you all have a great start to your week, fasting friends!
Doing OMAD since August 17th. I am down 12 lbs.
HW 233 SW 223 CW 211 GW 165
Saturday I ate pizza and cheese curds for my meal. The following day it was so hard to fast so I won’t be doing that again. I just bought reviver electrolyte salts capsules to aid in staying hydrated I guess.
190S are my normal start weight for dieting but after I quit smoking cigarettes, I got up to 233 pretty quick. I have ADHD so dopamine from food obviously was a clear go to.
I’ve lost 40 lbs a few times and got to 193, and each time I just give up. Not sure if it’s because after losing 40 lbs that I’m at my lifelong start weight. Or what but I am trying fasting for the first time again since I was early 20s. I naturally did OMAD and my doctor at the time convinced me I had an eating disorder and didn’t realize I was fasting. After that I pretty much made myself eat breakfast lunch and dinner and I just blew up, developed alot of digestive issues.
I will say this, if I didn’t have to eat and could just take a magic pill with everything I needed everyday I would. Having to think of what to eat 3 different times a day leads me to eating everything. So I just rather not!
Just finished my fast with some left over fried fish and onions. Switched to 15:9 starting today. Also got tons of exercise this week (walking around to different events).
ETA: Weighed today after giving a couple days for the walking to take effect. Currently 271.3 (mini-goal is 270, I’ve been plateaued for almost a year).
Hi!
I’m new here. Err… well I was here years ago and am now back.
I am 5’8F. My starting weight is 205. I have been doing 18:6 the last week, so I guess that puts me on Week 2, Day 1. I have done IF a few years back, which worked really well. I was in a super stressful job last year, and I stopped working out and my eating went to shit (a regular lunch was a large bag of hot Cheetos (800ish calories?) and a full box of Mike and Ike’s… ugh). Anyways, I have quit that job, and am doing something I love. I’ve started HIIT workout classes in the mornings and am trying to get back to my healthy weight where I feel good and fit in my clothes. Glad to be back.
14-8 | losing weight
Week 4 day 3 already!
I was a bit scared for the scale after two not so great days earlier this week. But my weight has stayed the same and that makes me very happy!
Today I had a good day and I had shakshuka with two eggs for dinner. I tried roasted chickpeas as a snack with salt and smoked paprika powder…. and I didn’t like it…
21:3, 50 min of exercise today.
I would like to lose a bit of weight and be healthier. I actually have more energy than I used to when I was eating lunch and dinner. I have began exercising 40-50 min most days because I’m a 23 year old and actually want to feel as fit as one should. I’m trying not to obsess too much about my calorie intake, I’m having around 1k a day i guess. I’m feeling much better already and not feeling guilty anymore after I’ve ate a decent meal.
I’m not yet back in university until end of sep so I’m wondering the impact it has once you are back into a normal schedule and quite busy. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
