I started to put on some weight during the start of the quarantine due to stress-eating/no gym access, so I gave IF a whirl. Nearly two years later and I’m still doing it and LOVE IT. So easy and your body naturally adjusts to it after a while. I no longer get the shakes and/or hangry if I don’t stuff down lunch. I feel lighter and it definitely allowed me to lose that extra weight and keep it off.
It just proves to me that our appetite is often just our brain playing tricks on us, making us think we’re hungry when we’re really just in the habit of eating at certain times and conditioning our blood sugars to have such scheduled cravings.
M-F during my work schedule I don’t eat from 7am-4pm; I just sip on tea or flavored water between then and feel just fine. Weekends I kinda do whatever, but I rarely even eat on the weekends until 2pm or so anyway.
Needless to say, it’s an awesome way of life that I highly recommend and it’s so nice to not stress and worry about what to eat for daily work lunches anymore. Liberated from lunching= happiness!!❤️((Although all bets are off when I’m vacationing; I’ll eat wherever/whenever when I travel))

Started on Monday this week. 1st day was the hardest, but I am starting to really get in the groove of this. Every day has gotten a little bit easier. Very please with progress so far.
Tomorrow I have a Sparrtan Deka event at 9AM. Debating on whether I should eat something beforehand to have some decent energy for the run. Not sure what I will choose yet. I know if I do have something it will be 2 pieces of bread, 2 eggs, and 3 Chicken Sausage links as a sandwich before heading out.
19/5 2MAD. cutting down to 10-12% bf, currently maybe 17. Tired today. I woke up early which usually makes me really hungry, but I’ve got 3.5 hours to go and a workout to do today. Thinking of breaking early to eat a protein bar before the gym since i tend to get light headed after a workout and worry about passing out.
Over the past 2 years I’ve dropped a total of 47lbs using CICO. Hit a plateau and took a break and then got back into the diet. Dropped the few lbs I gained back using CICO again but decided what I needed to finish was a challenge. Starting Jan 15th gave myself 90 days to just go all out and try to get down to my goal body fat. Remembered I had success with IF in the past and sure enough, instantly broke my plateau. IF is amazing but I am pushing myself to the limit going for 1% body mass loss a week.
Hoping to get down to goal body fat by April 15, and then take 45 days to step up cals and regain lost lean mass with the goal of being shredded for summer and my first time home in 3 years (when I left I was obese).
Had to write something down because the fatigue of being a new dad, cutting calories, and working hard are draining mentally as well as physically and this helps.
I fast from about 8:30pm to 11am. I do allow myself coffee with milk.
Been doing it for 5 months. Down 4 pounds.
No exercise increase. I do take Alpha Lipoic Acid. I think it helps with curving my overall appetite.
The ALA is to help with cholesterol and neuropathy.
Possible weight loss is a bonus.
I feel more level headed not eating breakfast. Definitely more productive.
