Doing IF 20/4 . After 16h noticed my resting heart rate has dropped to 60-72 range and its been in that range for an hour.
I am feeling active, no hunger or cravings yet.
Usually my resting heart rate is 78-86. I was just concerned if the dropped heart rate is something i should be worried? Any ideas?

Day 18, F49, 5’9”16:8, sometimes 17:7, usually 7 pm to 11 am.I eat everything, don’t count calories, just keep an eye on portion size. No issue with cravings for chocolate and sweets anymore, which caused my weight gain in the past. But if it wasn’t for fasting, I would definitely eat earlier, so I sometimes feel my hunger coming in the last three hours. Some days are no problem.

I intend to loose weight slowly, 6.6 lbs so far, for health reasons mostly, but for visual weight-loss, too. I wanted to share 2 milestones: I went down from obese to overweight, and I just got admitted today to Onederland (199.4)! 😄. Trust in the process. Slow gets you there, too.

Doing 20/4 Keto since like 3rd or 4th of January. Doing great, went from 92 to 87 kg. Goal for now is to get under 80.Had 26h fast last week, went ok. Finished 38h fast this morning and my stomach is on fire. I don’t know what’s happening. I drink a lot of water, usually more than 3 litres, take some vitamin/mineral supplements and during this fast I took 2x 2 tablespoons of MCT oil. MCT is only new thing I tried.Now I’m sitting on toilet at work with diarrhea and I’m bamboozled.

Hi all. 16/8 IF here. I will say I feel great eating this way, but no weight loss? I don’t have much to lose but none 1 week in. Has anyone had this happen? Delayed weight loss? I am eating very clean with an emphasis on protein and fiber. Definitely eating less and drinking tons of water.

I’m not on a plan anymore. I’m just fasting based on plan I previously followed which was 16/8. Don’t know if I’m ready for a 20/4 fast yet.

16/8, but extends to 18/6 if I don’t get food fast enough.

I want to achieve some visual weight loss. My goal is to reduce my weight by 20kg. Also, so I can fit into some of my clothes again.

Thought it was going well till I checked this morning and saw I’d gained back 1.6kg (😭). I don’t know why this happened. Might be the whole box of pizza I ate on Sunday (it was the only thing I ate too). Or does anyone have another idea why? I’m also exercising more than five times a week.

Also, I’m about to get more active in the workplace and I’m wondering whether the hours I fast for (21:00 to 13:00) will remain sensible as I don’t want to faint in the office due to low blood sugar or something.

Newbie here…. Started the 16/8. Does it matter what hours I do it? 1000-6pm then fasting 6pm to 10am?

I ask because that works best with my schedule now, but I see a lot of talk about 12-8, or 1 to 9

Why?Put on 30lbs (218lbs) during time on seroquel and in active addiction (alcohol and cocaine)I’m substance free and using exercise, meditation and fasting to keep myself clean!

Would love to drop that 30lbs and start to look like my old self :)

Lost 6lbs during first week 1600cals (212lbs)I know most will be water weight but I look less puffy in the face already and walking up the street is no longer an effort :) Also my lower back pain is reducing!

These benefits have motivated me to keep going and stay off the drugs! 🤞🏼

I’ve (22F, 5’4, 130 ibs) been doing 16/8 for about 4 days. My eating window is from 7am-3pm because I usually don’t get hungry around dinner anyway and I love breakfast.

I noticed that I get hungry around 1pm but if I don’t eat the hunger subsides. My goal isn’t necessarily to lose weight, maybe become a little leaner. I eat mostly vegan, with lots of fish, veggies, and nuts. In the morning I eat oatmeal with a nut butter.

I want to make sure I’m getting enough nutrients. Should I eat only when I’m hungry or should I still eat lunch around 2pm? Thanks.

Started a 36 water fast last night at 7:30. This is my 3 rd this month. AM had a strong hunger pangs, overcame it after 15 mins… I had a Yogi blueberry tea, it could have caused the hunger. Right now all normal. No ketones spilling yet.

This is my first experience with IF. (I do joke with hubby that I used to do IF back in my 20’s and early 30’s, due to being a starving artist.)

I am doing 18/6, although some of my fasts have been up to 21 hours. I started last Saturday. Was doing pretty good until last night. Caved in and had a small snack at 10pm and felt like a failure, but in about half an hour I will have fasted for 18 hours. I don’t have a lot of weight to lose…approximately 15 pounds. I’m an extreme sugar junkie. It’s amazing I’m not diabetic. So I’m focusing on becoming less sensitive to insulin. Think of a sugar junkie you know…that’s me times 10! Also been doing Keto over a year, then in October of 2021 fell off the wagon. Gained a good 15 pounds and it’s utterly depressing. When I discovered none of my panties fit, that was the catalyst for starting IF!It really helps to keep up with this subreddit. Thanks for all of you sharing personal experiences.
