4th day doing OMAD. First two days without counting calories because my food scale had a low battery and didn’t work. Another two with counting us usual. It’s been 4 months on IF and doing TMAD.
Good news, my head didn’t blow off because I was self-doubting, but I prefer to know that I meet my calories and macros. CICO it is, then.
I decided to cut my laziness and up my walking and steps counting. I started yesterday and planned to stick to it for two weeks and see if I can do it and how that goes. Wish me luck!
Good morning all! I’ve got an hour left of day 55 of 16:8. Right now just enjoying my morning coffee (black) while I wake up a bit. Last week I tweaked my macros to 40/30/30 and reduced calories by about 100/day because I was seeing a bit of a stall in loss. Now it’s starting to come off again, so that’s relieving! I want to get some exercise in, so I’m going to start slow by adding elliptical 1-2x/wk and doing the 2.5 mile trail in the nearby woods once a week (or more if time/weather permits). I prefer hiking because it’s fun and also because you can’t quit or else you’re just stuck out there LOL. I’m down 24 lbs since Jan 7, 12.5 more to go to hit first goal weight.
Have a good one everybody!
March makes 1 year since I’ve made fasting part of my lifestyle. Started out at 202lbs and am down to 165lbs with about 15 more to go before reaching my goal. Doing OMAD as usual today and feeling great. It’s just so bizarre to me how a little corner of Reddit changed my entire life for the better.
Happy fasting y’all ♥️
Good morning… I’ve got a few more hours til I’m finished with day #8. I’ve been doing 18:6 so far but yesterday did a 20:4 without much problem. It’s nice how after a handful of days or so my body was already getting pretty used to not eating in the evening or mornings. I really don’t think about it. Getting up and doing things early in the morning has been a lot easier since I’ve stopped the habit of eating from dinner to bed time like I would do before starting IF. Wake up feeling good. I
’ve also got a few days now of drinking black coffee in the morning.. I’ve used creamer in coffee for the last 15-20 years so this is pretty big. I’m enjoying it and it makes my coffee last longer. Have a good day everybody!
Starting Weight: 304
Current Weight: 302.8
Day: 2
Type: 16:8 (or 8:16, whatever 8 hours eating 16 hours fasting is) I try to eat between 10:30 AM and 6:30 PM.
Context: Middle of morning.
Length: Undetermined. I’m going to try for at least 30 days because 16:8 doesn’t seem like it should be too difficult.
Why: I was in a terrible car-wreck in June 2021. I put on almost 100 pounds because I literally couldn’t jog more than 10 yards or walk more than 50 yards without barfing for almost a year. I received my car accident settlement check and decided it was time to take my life back after a few false starts where I would start on a diet and exercise plan and give up.
Notes: I do have to take some prescriptions on a timer. Taking my multivitamin along with it with no food on my stomach was dumb. I almost threw up everything. I had to eat an orange to put something on my stomach and not barf at 9:45 AM. Today the last thing I can eat will be at 5:45 PM.
Day 9 of 10 on 3x42 ADF and today’s an eating day! I ate earlier than anticipated yesterday so I am making up for it today by only eating one meal at dinner time (instead of a 6 hour eating window). I won’t weigh in until tomorrow but I feel good so I anticipate a decent number on the scale.
I will say this: alternate day fasting was tough and I now have such an appreciation for OMAD! I generally think switching it up is what works best for me as I tend to get bored on any one protocol. I will commit to a plan for a couple weeks at a time, then re-assess.
Hopefully I have good news to share tomorrow re: weigh-in after this period of ADF!
