I’m awake at 2am, lol. Anyway. My fast started about 8 hours ago. I plan to go on for another 8, probably have some black tea in the morning. Yesterday went better than today went, probably because i had pizza for my big dinner instead of somerhing less junky. It was damn good tho, lol.
Water fastStarted at 5pm today and will end at 11am tomorrow for a 16:8 IF.Using 16:8 for a while to prep my body for some longer fasts; primary goal is weight loss prior to playing team sports again in April.Going pretty good as I also eat mostly low carb so the fat I eat keeps me full for a long time.Only issue is that I usually really enjoy my very creamy coffee in the mornings - a black coffee before 11am just don’t hit the same spot!
Been doing IF consistently for the past month. At first started with a basic 16:8, but that very naturally became a OMAD just because of my day-to-day schedule. Have done a couple 36 hour fasts and a 48 as well. I have dropped a significant amount of weight and feel inspired to push to get back to the body I used to have. I am a former athlete, so it has been a long journey round-trip on this but I am already fitting into clothes I haven’t worn in over 3 years.
One of the aspects of this that has been weirdest for me has just been the massive shift in my relationship to food. Today for example, I got a kale salad and a smoothie and could only eat half of the kale salad and I felt totally fine and slightly full. Food has for so long been a major part of my day-to-day so it’s been odd trying to fill that void. Kind of a like a grief for a life that I am very happy to leave behind but that was really defining for me.

Been fasting 16:8 for about 4 weeks. During the work week I try to eat dinner by 7 p.m. During the weekends I eat dinner by 4 p.m., which makes it so much easier because I am normally a breakfast person so it’s hard to skip breakfast during weekdays!
8 hours in of a 16:8 fast, first weigh in after a week of fasting tomorrow. Only way I could lose weight last time was doing this. We shall see. Hunger pangs get pretty severe but I seem to drown myself in water. black coffee helps. But it’s no good at 1am.

Fast started at 9PM Last Night.
16:8 but really it’s gonna be 17:7. Day 3.
Doing this to gain control of my eating and ultimately lose some weight for OCR Season. Food really started taking control in December and January. I found my impulse control waning quite a bit. Big Lunches and Dinners, Snacks and Grazing constantly.
I found day 2 to be really easy. I was able to go without the food without much issue. Made sure the night before to have a meal with good protien and carbs (Buttersquash Turkey Chili w/ Corn Chips )
Today I think is gonna be more of a challenge. I was up much earlier then usual for work. So the time this morning without eating is longer then usual. So far so good, I have had a few small hunger pangs but had a cup of coffee and some water and I am doing better
