hello friends!

20:4, for weight loss. currently sitting at 217.4, which is a stunning 5lb drop over my last weigh in, because i got covid! i’m expecting this to go back up, but i finally feel (mostly) okay, so i’m marking down my weight for posterity. my eating habits have been all over the place, as i’ve been sick, and even now i don’t have the energy to properly fast, haha. this is my first time with covid, and people weren’t kidding about the exhaustion! i’m hoping to get back on the horse for real soon, now that i’m feeling better, but i’m being kind to myself so i recover properly, haha.

winter hit us hard, we got six inches of snow overnight, so i’m not looking forwards to reducing my exercise! i’ll miss my nightly long walks with my dog. see you in spring, walking habits…

I did it yesterday and back for more! Going to do the 16:8 again and not eat until noon today. I do drink black coffee and water. I have some inflammation in my ankle from running and I also want to lose weight. Yesterday was not terrible - I stayed busy. I feel hopeful today I can do it again.

Jumping back on the OMAD wagon. Tried 18:6 since July and I’ve slowly gained weight since.

December would have been my 4th year in a row of OMAD had I not switched to 18:6. My weight in April of this year was 176 and now I easily put 20 pounds back on in 6 months. Kicking myself but knuckling down to not stop or have a cheat day again until I’m at my goal weight.

First month of IF is (almost) complete! Started IF on October 10th 2022 with a starting weight of 207 lbs. Current weight as of November 4th is 196 lbs.

Overall I’m very happy with my progress so far. My fasting strategy has been wildly variable. For instance, some days I would OMAD, others days I would 18:6, and other days I would simply “cheat” by having a Starbucks coffee with sugar in the morning, but still calorie restrict myself during my remaining meals to remain at a caloric deficit. Weekends I would go out to eat, and did not actively try to put my self at a caloric deficit. I log my calories in my fitness pal, and the average calorie intake for me on a fasting day is 1250. I cook all the meals during the week, and try and stay away from high carb foods. I don’t go to the gym at this time, but will most likely start soon.

My end goal is to reach a healthy BMI, which for my height should be 150 pounds. I have a long way to go, but I’m confident I can reach this goal.

Started 16:8 at end of September. Had a setback with family vacation overeating/got off schedule. Switched to drinking coffee black and skipping the sugar & cream. Drinking at least 1.2L water daily. Focusing on plant-based meals but am eating some eggs and cheese, with meat/fish now and then. Common first meal is a salad bowl with whole grains or sweet potatoes, greens, beans or eggs, avocado, and veggies (carrots, peppers, tomatoes, beets) or sautéed cabbage or greens with 2 scrambled eggs and a piece of sprouted whole grain toast (Kroger has a nice bread, look in the freezer section)

Dinner is something like soup, burrito bowl, stir fry.

Struggling with avoiding treats at work, and having cravings for sweets and carbs in the afternoon. But I’m proud of myself for reducing my coffee consumption, getting more sleep, and sticking to my eating windows from 10am-6pm. Just learning to tolerate hunger and delay gratification is a huge step!

My goal is to be able to run or swim 30 minutes without stopping and go for long bike rides.

My motivation is to not have people ask if I’m pregnant (belly fat makes me look 4 months pregnant 😟). I can do this!!! I want my forties to be my healthiest decade yet! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
