18:6 normally, this is my 2nd 36 hour fast, just tested positive for Covid. Any reason to stop or should I carry on if I feel Okay? Just looking for some advice/reassurance.

Length: I aim for 21:3 each day, although today I will have fasted just over 22 hours.

Why: weight loss

Notes: Im going on my third week of essentially 21:3, and I’m down 13 pounds (45 pounds down from my highest weight in September 2020). If there are certain days when I feel I need to eat more, I will do 18:6. So far, fasting has been going well, and I’m feeling great.

I first tried IF back in 2020, but slipped back into my old habits after a few months (but somehow managed not to regain what I had lost). Now I’m back and more motivated than ever. I have finally reached the point where I’m fed up being obese and unhappy. That is why I’m posting here. I usually lurk, but I’ve decided to put myself out there in order to hold myself accountable.

Notes: First intentional 16:8 fast since fall of 2020! I saw amazing results with IF but have fallen off track since then. I have a 3 month old baby and want to lose some stubborn postpartum fat in my mid-section. My babe is starting to sleep better, but she wakes once at night and is an early riser. Not getting adequate sleep has made it harder to stick to my fasts. I have tried a couple of times to do 14:10 last week, but I failed. I think I will be successful today with my 16:8! I made sure to eat a hearty dinner last night (broccoli, roasted red potatoes, and ground Turkey taco mix + 2 paleo cookies)

Notes: I’m adding Time in where I’m not fasting because my body is getting used to me being in a fasted state and the plateaus are getting longer/harder to break. I broke my last plateau by going completely of fasting for a week. Feasting but not eating everything in sight.

It’s going well so far. I hope I’m able to complete this without any crazy hunger pangs. It’s my first multi-day fast.. so I’m kind of nervous - but excited at the same time!
