Not sure if I am doing this right? Fasted till 3pm today, ate after a cardio workout.. trying to lose 2 pounds a week.. took a mile walk after dinner.. just starting my journey now…
Up until this point I’ve just been doing cardio/long walks and I’m not seeing results as how I’d like. Lost 8 pounds in the course of a few months. Any tips?
Type: Water and coffee
Context: Started today, trying to see how this works.
Length: 16 hours per fast, last meal was between 19:30 and 20:00 yesterdat, so eating again at 12:00 (currently almost 10:00)
Why: Weight loss
Notes: So far I found coffee on an empty stomach is not nice, aside from that going well :)
Day2 of Week19, IF, 18/6
SW: 104kg/229lbs; CW: 89kg/196lbs; GW: 85kg/187lbs
Water retention is very real xDToday is 89,8kg up from yesterday’s 89,1kg as expected right after a carbs heavy day.
I’m really out of it with the allergies, so much so that I forgot to bring along a meal to work, so I have no clue what I’ll be eating today.
Might order a gyros plate or something alike or I’ll do OMAD when I get home. (UPDATE: For the meal at home I figured I’ll make tzatziki salad with dill and tortilla toasts and lactose free cheese)
Tomorrow is a 24h fast though followed up by an OMAD breakfast then I enter the 48h fast which honestly I was looking foward to.
The meal planning becoming a chore when your brain can’t really function with allergic distractions. :P
Sleep was decent finally but still not enough rest for my eye, so I hope it’ll improve today.
Will go to a pharmacy today to get me some eyedrops for testing, maybe they work better for my allergies than my current stuff.
If today feels like a second Monday, consider that you have a new beginning again! ;)
Week 11 Day2
SW: 213
Last Weigh-in: 194.8 (Every Sat Morning)
GW: To stay under 200 into Sept and then on to 185.
Little trouble sleeping last night and a slight headache this morning, signs I didn’t drink enough water. I only got through 72oz and usually it’s a gallon so I must hydrate today.
Been going back and forth how to proceed with ADF for more solid and steady weight loss. ADF+OMAD has me concerned that I’m only losing because it’s not a lot of food (was about 2 lbs a week). When I came off of it, even with OMAD everyday, I gained back instantly even over 2 weeks.
Thinking about a 20:4 on feast days. 16:8 even Keto I’m nervous about opening the door for food. Been reading a lot of stories of people having progress even eating normally on food days. I would have to adjust my weekends to fit this as well however.
IF is certainly an all the time learning process. I’ve been a year since I started 16:8 last August and at that time I was 232 so it’s been a year long journey of ups and down and I’m still changing things!
It’s fun :P
Happy Tuesday!
Currently about 10 hours into my first OMAD (one meal a day fast). Me hungreh. But I gained 30 pounds during Covid and am now 50 pounds from a weight I am comfortable with so… trying to hold out the willpower!
Will it kill my fast if I eat a cucumber right now?
58 days into IF. Almost 14lbs lost (though I started right after a binge that would have dropped anyway so I’m gonna go ahead and round that down to 10lbs). Also just hit 700 hours total. Currently 271, my lowest was \~259 last year right before depression kicked my ass and I’ve been struggling to keep trending down since then. Started at 305-ish. Stopped counting calories on Aug 15th and I’m not sure yet if I’m going to start again in September like I’d planned.
I just added an hour and am now doing 15:9. 16:8 will probably be my maximum but I’m pretty loose with my fasting so some days I’m just naturally not hungry until hour 18-20, other days I really can’t go all night without a snack and I accept that and don’t force myself but try to keep it contained to what will make me not hungry and not just indulgences.
16:8 second week in, down 7 pounds so far. Had previously lost 60 from just dieting and exercise. Having a baby during covid tines had me at the highest I’ve ever been 230ish, this morning 165. I drink an espresso shot in the morning, drink water all day, break my fast at 11am with a 630 calorie give or take protein shake. 2 scoops of chocolate fudge protein power 1 cup 2% milk 1 banana and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. It’s delicious and holds you over really well. I try to avoid snacking other than nuts and that sort of thing. Healthy dinner (I’ve been using fitmencook app and Instagram) then done eating by 7pm. I work out 4 times a week, and have a pretty active job.
Oh to add 5’7 31yo F
Anyone have experience just trying to lose 5-10 lbs? I’m within a healthy weight as is, but frankly my boobs are too big and i want to lose a little (i can lose 20+ lbs before BMI would classify as underweight so I’m fine). It seems like the weight will be pretty slow? Is it true that it comes off slower if you have less to lose?
ps - halp i’m hungry
Let’s see trying to put it in the requested format: • black coffee/Zest tea and of course water — Perrier and Pellegrino do be tasting nice! • start about 10pm Monday ending 5pm Wednesday • trying for 24 + 19 = 43 so till 5pm tomorrow • I want my twink body back but more importantly prove I can do something difficult that I myself initiate. “If you know yourself and know the enemy…”
I’m 14 hours into my fast, so I have 4 more hours to go. It’s 8:30am where I’m from and I just had a cup of mint green tea as my “breakfast”. I’m feeling hungry compared to yesterday and the day before but I’m determined to make it through. 😊
Day 5 of 18:6 for weight loss & health. I started at 16:8, but found that 18:6 is actually just as easy.
I’m down nearly 2lbs and I had a “cheat” meal on Sunday. I noticed I had a horrible craving for Moussaka. So I ordered it and made sure it arrived well within my eating window. Really enjoyed it and had a nice side salad. Gained a minuscule amount of weight on Monday, but today I had recovered that and then some. Decided that twice a month I’ll have a cheat meal.
Also, really getting into meal prep. I’m discovering I don’t want to spend a ton of time cooking all that much in my eating window. Tonight, right after my window closed I did a bunch of prep work. I found that I was able to enjoy that process and managed not to lick my fingers.
Type: Water and coffeeContext: 20th consecutive day fasting, total fasting hours 432
Length: 25 hours 45mins today, last meal and only meal was 38 mins ago. I do OMAD and Fast literally long as I can each and every day and start my fast immediately after whatever my meal is. I eat whole healthy home made meals no junk and I try and eat as low carb as possible but will have say a cup of rice or potatoes at most.
Why: Weight loss
Notes: absolutely zero issues or hunger at 26 hours fasting today so I must be really fat haha drank water and had 2 coffees until I broke my fast
