I’m water fasting. No cravings! It’s day 2, which, to me, is when I usually crave the most delightful things. But I digress; I haven’t fallen asleep. I’m tired, but not tired at the same time. Is this normal?
Type: Water and coffee
Context: Started 30th of august
Length: 16:8
Why: Weight loss
Notes: switched to a dirty fast where I allow myself sugarfree breath mints during the fast because it helps me to stop smoking :-) shouldn’t be a problem for weightloss right?
36M, 85kg looking to lose 10kg. Started 16:8 yesterday my first time doing IF, i feel I’m over eating after i break the fast but hopefully that gets easierYesterday was tough, ran this morning fasted though and felt good
35 hours into a 45-47 hour fast. It’s my birthday and we have dinner reservations and a huge gift card to spend at a high end steakhouse.
While losing weight would be a plus, I have a huge family history of Alzheimer’s, and a problem with carb and sugar cravings. I’ve been playing with different protocols for about a month. Did a 96 hour, and mostly 20:4, with some 24, a couple of 18:6, and a 3 day juice fast in the mix. Trying to figure out what works for me.
Really trying to plan up until Thanksgiving, and struggling
Have a vacation, next week, a conference where attendees are supposed to plan nightly group dinners the week after that, my company retreat the following week, a weekend away with foodie friends who love good wine in November, and then one of the top chefs in the nation is coming to town to visit us. He’s doing multiple events/classes, and we’re supposed to go to the Texas Hill Country with him, his wife, and one other couple for the weekend in between. They really want to try the wine, beer, bourbon, and food.
At this point, I’m starting to think my only option is to fast every day until Thanksgiving that I don’t already have an “event” on the calendar. I really don’t want to head into the holidays 10 lbs up and unable to resist any sugar put in front of me.
