Completing a 42 hour fast today! I always struggle getting past my normal eating time when I fast a full day, but I stuck with it. Have a good lunch planned out and looking forward to it.
I’m so close to onederland, haven’t seen a 1 in front of my weight since high school, I’m just very happy to see progress.
If you’ve been putting off trying IF, just try it! Time is going to pass anyway, might as well start!
Week 10 of IF. 18:6 & 20:4. Coffee and water fasts only. I weighed this morning and another .5kg down. I am steadily reducing 1/2 kg a week which is about 1lb.
This is the most sustainable ‘diet’ I have ever done as I do not feel restricted at all. I have lowered my carbs to around 50g p/d and trying to only have good/complex carbs from fruits and vegetables but I have also enjoyed cake once a week too.
The biggest change for me has been IF helping me to eliminate the snacking and the daily support from this community. Keep up the great work all. You’ve got this.

heal my gut from drinking and weight loss
I’ve been doing IF for about 5 years, however alcohol didn’t allow the end goal - has always helped me keel my weight in check. I quit drinking 8 days ago. Here’s to a better me for my kids

Hit an ADF plateau a few days back and decided to eat 3 meals during my eat day with a 12 hour window to see if the increase would shake loose the plateau. Down 1.1lbs this morning after eating more heavily and then doing a 40+ hour fast so it appears that is what my body needed. Was doing strict ADF with a 5-6 hour eating window. I think I will probably increase it to 8 hours and see how that goes as getting enough protein/veg/fat in becomes more difficult due to not being hungry and getting full quickly.

2 more days to go before I’ve officially completed two weeks of IF! My goal was to do 16:8 but it’s been rather easy to mostly do 18:6 most days, unless work is particularly energy taxing (i move a lot at work) and I find myself very hungry then I just do 16:8 and revert back to 18:6. Lots of water and tea. I’m officially down 6.6lbs! 10.8 total since Jan 1st. It’s amazing how much I struggled for two months to lose 4lbs then switched to mostly clean (except for tea) IF and a LCHF diet and suddenly dropped almost 7 in two weeks.
I know my body will eventually try to stabilize but I’m hoping/praying for 199 by mid April. I also have the wonderful side effect of not needing coffee anymore, at all, and because of it I’m sleeping better.
23:1 OMAD w/ water & coffee 7 days a week if possible. Will have some beer on the weekends if I end up going out.

For weight loss (SW:225/CW:221/GW:180) and to clean up the body. Been eating like garbage for the last decade, time to start a healthy relationship with food as I approach my 30s in a few years.
Going good so far! Feel like I’m sleeping better. I appreciate food more, since it’s just once a day now. I plan to try my first 48hr fast after my dinner tonight. We’ll see how it goes.
In the middle of Week 8 of IF using 16:8. Water and coffee ok. Hoping to gain control of my bad eating and snacking habits and it’s working. I no longer gain weight each week. No reduction in weight yet…Losing motivation this week and broke my fast twice. Overall happy with the fasting change and feel healthier but not loosing weight yet.
