Day 15 (Monday 1/11/21)

**THE BREAK** The early morning hours before dawn were sleepless and spent like a four year old awaiting Christmas. My gift to self was a case of deuterium depleted water. Oh boy! Rising from bed in the morning was a surprise – it was the first time I ever experienced dizziness in a dry fast by standing up (unlike it being common in water fasting). I plopped back on the bed; it passed quickly and only occurred once. My DDW arrived two hours ahead of scheduled delivery – yippee!There was no physical craving for the water, but my mental excitement and anticipation was off the charts. I didn’t have outright thirst and faced an almost mechanical inability to drink it.I first sipped hot meltwater, sloshed it around my mouth and let it slowly trickle down. I didn’t rinse my mouth out and found it hard to swallow the first few times. And then it wasn’t hard at all.After initial hydration I rapidly regained enough oral lubrication to aid in clearing of the protective film in my mouth. The part of my tongue that was already cleared became fluffy, pink and bright. The parts that were coated remained coated, but with a thinner and more moist film. It was now time to commence the most important and consequential part of any fast: the supportive rejuvenation and anabolic renewal of all my inherited and epigenetic potentials through continued rest and proper recovery diet. **Final weight before breaking: 131.6 lbs on 1/11/21 (Day 0), down 37.8 lbs from 169.4 lbs on 12/27/2020 (Day 15).** I wish you all ever greater ease and the good graces of your body’s wisdom leading you in your fasts and on your wellness paths.
