***Day 2:*** I slept awful literally finally fell asleep at 5am and woke up at 10:30am probably from all the mental energy from having no food. I woke up craving nothing, I actually found a really cool app called Fooducate that finds out what's on your food along with grading your foods based on ingredients and recommends healthy alternatives/recipes for you! You can also track your weight, sleep, amount of cals you ate in a day, how much you burned etc. So before I finally fell asleep I was searching organic foods to get at Kroger's once I'm done with this fast. I've usually never liked nutrition or tracking apps but this is genuinely a great app if you're like me and do not really know much about nutrition basics or what foods are actually good or bad on you because you suck at reading the label and all the ingredients. I learned that many foods that claim to be "whole/multi\-grain", "non GMO", or "sugar free" actually can be worse for you than the original and you don't have to give up all your indulges but you can make them healthier. I'm really excited for the post fast so I can try all these new recipes out!
***Remember days 1\-3 are the hardest, so stay strong***
`EXTRA TIPS I FORGOT TO MENTION IN MY DAY 1 POST!!:` I know many of you want to jumpstart your weight loss as much as you can and even though no hard exercise is recommended there are other ways you can burn extra calories. 1.\) Whenever you're taking a shower, at the end turn the knob to freezing cold and stay in it for exactly 2 minutes which will help you burn an extra 400 calories. 2.\) As soon as you wake up in the morning \(before breakfast\) go take a walk for 20 minutes, this will force your body to use your extra fat storages as energy since it has no food in the body. 3.\) The color sky blue has been proven to actually decrease one's appetite so if you look at the color or if you take this tip because you sometimes have a difficult time with portion control and overeating, go buy blue plates to put your food on, it will help a lot!
I will most likely edit this post throughout the day since my mood/hunger will probably change and it's only 11:11am right now. I'm off work again today and plan on going for a walk and to kick my soccer ball around, of course nothing too hardcore.
**UPDATE:** It's 3:35pm and I felt dizzy/light headed while playing soccer mainly because it's 90 degrees here and I stayed out there too long. Be cautious of this and make sure to not push your body too much. Also, my hunger pains are at an all time high at the moment. My stomach keeps growling even after I drink more water trying to calm it down but I have no cravings for anything which is strange to me because on my previous 2 fasts I stayed craving random food on the first 3 days. I think this is the case because my mind set & determination has drastically changed and honestly the only food I think about eating is raw vegetables, fruits, \(and a steak haha\). Very pleased with this especially on day 2, being so early I thought it would've taken longer for my mind to switch.
*Stay positive everyone!! Your mind is powerful, change the way you think and you'll be surprised what you can accomplish xo*
**UPDATE PT 2:** It's 7:44pm and I went on the scale and am now at 154.6! In two days I've lost \-5.4 lbs
Answer
Hang in there, I’m on day 4 of 10 and now adding the salt and creme de tartar in water to reduce my leg craps.
I recommend taking hot or cold Green Tea with nothing added. Starbucks has a good unsweet green tea.
Energy is still quite elevated and mental fog is almost gone. I used sleeping pills to get to sleep the first 2 nights. The hunger pains are all gone. I’ve lost 1.5 pounds per day.
