Day 6 of my water fast

Hey guys, today is day 6 of my (hopefully) 25 day fast. I'll definitely stop before that though if I need to. I started on Friday 11/05, at a weight of 101.2kg I'm making this post for two reasons: 1. I want to share my experience thus far for anyone interested in doing a water fast 2. Get some advice about what to eat when breaking my fast that will result in me keeping most if not all of my fat loss off (obviously I'll gain water weight back). I'll break it down into days - Day 1: ....I was 100% fine. A little hungry, but my job is very fast-paced and physical, so it kept me busy. Day 2: Same as day 1 - I was a little hungry, but overall fine. If I wasn't drinking a tonne of water, that would be another story altogether. Day 3: I felt like fucking shit. I had all of the fasting symptoms - fever, muscle aches, light-headed, exhaustion, cloudy mind, weakness, clumsiness, etc. I was hungry, and because it was mother's day, I had to sit in the restaurant watching my family eat which was pretty difficult. I got through it though. I was also very emotionally fragile - people would say one thing to me and it would make me cry πŸ™„ Day 4: Felt great in the morning, but at around 1pm it was the same as day three. Feeling so shitty and hungry. Work was particularly physical that night, which was hard. I felt like my arms would collapse and I'd drop everything. Day 5: I felt awesome - still hungry, although it comes and goes. I had the day off for once, so I just laid in bed reading. My mum cooked that night (one of my fave foods πŸ˜‘), and it smelt amazing and obviously I would have liked to have eaten it, but I was fine. I took some multi's (General, osteo, lysine) for the first time (on top of the apple cider vinegar tablet I was taking every day and occasionally some panadol when I was feeling particularly shit). I ended up feeling super nauseous and threw up once (it was green/yellow). Because of the colour, I think it was just due to my body detoxing - which I have definitely noticed it doing. For the first 2-3 days, my urine was white because of how much water I've been drinking. But after day three, it's become a brown/yellow colour - my kidneys must be detoxing something fierce. Another sign of detoxing is my tongue - it gets this disgusting white layer, which means you need to 100% step up your oral hygiene game. I also weighed myself for the first time - I was told my face looked a lot thinner. Anyway, the scale read 94.2kg - so a loss of 7kg (which I'm sure is mostly water weight). Day 6: Its only 10 am, but I feel fine so far. I'll keep you guys updated if you're interested. But if anyone has some advice in regards to what to eat when breaking my fast to keep my fat loss off, if appreciate it. I was thinking two days of beef bone broth, then two days of beef bone with some spinach and kale cooked in it, then two days of really fermented foods (I.e. sauerkraut, kaffir, Greek yoghurt, etc) to set up a healthy biome of gut bacteria. I don't know what to eat after that though... Update - Day 6 cont.: Funny how feeling fine can lead to feeling crappy. Nowhere near as bad as Days 3 and 4, but still pretty shitty. Day 7: The day was great. I'm still quite hungry here and there (especially because I was in Gold Class tonight watching DP 2 and the food smelt fucking DELICIOUS. Also because the brand of water I bought was gross). Don't get me wrong - I did feel quite tempted today to break my fast. I was craving tomatoes, then pancakes, then chips (fries), then soup, then Subway, then lettuce cooked in sweet chilli sauce (??? no idea about that one), and then nutella pizza with fruit, but it wasn't anything particularly difficult to get through or anything I haven't felt before. I weighed myself this morning, and it came out as 92.4kg - does anyone know generally when that stops being water weight and is instead fat loss? Just curious, because so much of our body weight is water. Day 8: ......Holy crap. After 8 days of no headaches I was arrogant thinking I don't need sodium - after waking up feeling I have several war drums pounding inside my head, I need sodium - give me all the fucking sodium. πŸ˜–πŸ˜–πŸ˜– I'll have to find tablets - there's no way I can drink water with salt dissolved in it. Gross. (Coming from someone who didn't know apple cider vinegar drinks/tablets were a thing and was just straight glugging pure apple cider vinegar πŸ˜‚)

Nicely done! I attached a link I’ve used for breaking my fast. I’ve never heard of brown urine outside of dehydration. I’m not an expert but I would be careful with your kidneys.

Fatty meat, or eggs. You don’t need to ease into anything, except for carb-centric or sugary foods. Animal-based foods are most easily digested when taken on their own.
