day 7: summary and when to stop?

I'll keep it short bc I'm exhausted. I have Lyme, and have done a few water fasts before which helped me, but now I'm on day 7 of a dry fast and have had the best results so far with my symptoms. I want to keep going and going day 9, but I'm really tired and really really fucking thirsty. Days 1-3: ez. Day 4: bad mood Day 5: bad mood and really tired with some feel good .moments in between Day 6: starting to get really thirsty and tired Day 7: REALLY thirsty, mouth is so dry. Very tired as well. Tbh I feel really tires and had a small lil splash of nausea, but i want to keep going as Lyme has really fucked up my life and this is my last hope. How do you guys know when to stop early? My only frame of reference is if my heart rate sits at 100+ for a couple of hours (it's way below that unless I keep moving around). Wed is day 9, im planning drinking and refeeding on day 10. Will create a post when done with a more detailed breakdown. I guess I just need some encouragement to keep going and to know if I'm not killing myself 😅

I’m on day 7 too! Not sure how much longer I want to go this round, 8 or 9 days or more just depending on how I’m feeling. Hoping to make more progress with ulcerative colitis.

When it gets tough I just tell myself to have one more dry sleep and reassess in the morning. Usually I feel better by then and the extra day under my belt motivates me to keep trundling along. Taking it one day at a time is psychologically less daunting.

Filonov says you should break if your resting heart rate is 120 or more. He also says (maybe not in the book but on you tube) that you can wait 2-3 weeks and do a second round of 9 days and the effects are cumulative. He also says some may need a third round of 11 days for stubborn conditions.

Good luck!

How do you know you’re not just slowly dying of thirst?

I would tend to keep pushing to just beyond what is comfortable then stopping. Still it is positive that you seem to still be alive.

Im not convinced that tolerating extreme unease is a positive thing, or is achieving much. The people who encourage that, you don’t know their motives are pure - and who do you take the receipt back to if it goes wrong?

You are a brave soul. I cant to extended dry fasts because i hate feeling so weak all the time. Thats why I like death fasting. All the same benefits but you get that drink and salts to look forward to every day. I really hope you heal your issue. Please keep us informed.
