Diet while IF

Does everyone do a specific diet while engaging in intermittent fasting or do you eat what you want just at the eating periods? I successfully lost 70 pounds on keto 3 years ago after I had my first child. All said and done I weighed 100 lbs. i got pregnant shortly after this and was cuz currently diagnosed with a massive kidney stone that required extensive surgery to remove after I had the second baby. I was very very sick during my pregnancy and spent 30 out of the 36 weeks I was even pregnant in the hospital. I only gained 11 pounds during that pregnancy. Second son is now 2.5 years old and I now weigh 130. Id like to go back to 115 pounds. Currently doing 16/8 for the last week but not really dieting during my eating period. Will I loose weight this way or is it best to sick with low carb or low calorie?

For me personally I have only seen significant progress when I combine IF with low carb. That said, I still splurge on occasion. If I’m going out for a spaghetti dinner, I’ll give myself a smaller eating window for the day.

With exceptions to mead/whiskey/rum, I’m sticking pretty much to low carb/keto in the solid food department. I’ve found carbs don’t like my glucose levels. Typically 16:8 for fasting, but as an example I just finished a 24hr fast too. I try to incorporate those at least a couple times a month lately, but I’ve only been doing fasting since mid November
