I think I would rather do intermittent fasting than a dirty long fast personally. Stick with a 20 off and 4 on each day. You can do that forever and it helps a lot.
100mg is .1 grams of food which is basically nothing. If you want to have a small amount each day while long fasting a meat broth would be good. You should aim for a calorie number if you want to do that, something like 200-300 a day or less. Maybe just some butter in your coffee.
Having fat and protein would be better than any carbs for sure.

Yes. I like to do rolling fasts. When I start a series, the first few are dirty - diet sodas, splash of hot sauce on my tongue, gum, I’ll even eat a pickle - until it gets easier. Then I find I don’t need any assistance.
For weight loss all that matters is how many calories you are consuming. Even on dirty fasting, some people like to consume very few calories and that’s fine, you’re still gonna lose weight super quick as your’ll be in a high caloric defict.
As for autophagy, water is the ideal one. But again no one really knows everything about autophagy as there’s a lot of contradicting research so just do whats best for you
I lost 80lbs dirty fasting. It helped me not feel overly acidic. I’ve also hard core water fasted before. I water fasted for over two weeks and broke because I just felt too acidic. But dirty fasting I could fast longer, still lose the same amount of weight and I didn’t feel miserable. I lived off miso, peppermint tea, Gatorade zero, Lemon water and the occasional tums tablet.
Dirty fasting is what most people are gonna have access to and still have great success with it maybe not meeting all micros (they’ll have to supplement for it).
Not everyone can afford organic, grass fed only, MCT oil, probiotics that “aren’t dead”, fishier fish oil costing 10x more… In my region specifically Almond flour costs like 5x more than Coconut flour. For some rich and successful people like Dr Berg the extra 5 or so carbs per serving is already a deal breaker and he only gives advice that requires you to be making 7 figures to maintain.
Today I got to eat an organic chicken. It was good and tasted like a richer, more juicier regular chicken. It also costs like 7x more.

You can fat fast which is a fasting mimicking type of eating. It’s great for breaking plateaus, setting yourself up for water only fasting.
You can use fasting aids like bone broth.
